You know what else is a nice chance to sneak away from your family for a bit? Oil change.

My sister-in-law, who at the time had three small children would come over with the kids, say she had to go to Target, and be gone for three hours.
That's Boss Level.
Getting new tires this morning. Mini vacation!
Base Ball Today! Two Twins games. And Rocco is going to manage both of them.
Random thought: If Ron Gardenhire had managed Rocco Baldelli, would he have called him "Rocky" or "Baldy"? Or maybe "Delly"?
There's no way he could have resisted "Baldy."
I've read Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite and Umbrella Academy: Dallas in advance of watching with Runner daughter on Netflix. It was quirky entertaining, but in the long run I found Scud the Disposable Assassin a more satisfying read.
Was watching the Bayern Munich game earlier today at Allianz stadium on FS2 and saw a strange white blob in the stands.
I couldn't make sense of it, then first guessed that it was a bunch of nuns in white habit. Then I thought it's more likely to be Saudi's in their Saudi outfits, or suchat, all sitting together.
Then finally I realized that it looked like a big letter T and then I discovered this.
I recognized that T immediately. Boy did we hate Deutsche Telekom. We do have T-mobile, though...
On the Stove - Sri Lankan Chicken Curry
Last week in Minny, I got sick as a dog from all the cold / driveway shoveling / forced air + probably germs from the flight over. So I came back, got diagnosed with an infected lower left lung, and all week have been on the antibiotic blast, which doesn't do much for the appetite. But I must be getting better, as today I had a hankering for curry. Found an interesting recipe, cut it in half (like I always do), and then tried to do the best with the ingredients I could find.
Heat some coconut oil (1-2 tbsp) in a large skillet. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, ginger and cook until softened.
Add sprinkles of curry, chili powder, paprika, cinnamon, and 5-6 curry leaves (can get at your local Indian grocer) and mix, cook for a couple minutes until the kitchen smells great.
Cut 4 chicken thighs into two and stir into the spices, coating both sides. Add some salt, and 6 cherry tomatoes sliced in half. Top with a sprinkle of sugar. Mix and cook covered for about 10 minutes, stirring often.
Add 1/4 c. coconut milk (I think the lowfat kind is fine, 64%less fat), 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar, and bring to boil. Lower the heat to simmer for 15 minutes. The vinegar will stink up the place for a minute but don't worry, it will subside and behave.
I think cooking with chicken thighs here is good as the bones add flavor, and the dark meat is so much better than the sterile breast meat.
Serve with Basmati rice (or Naan) and ladle the leftover curry juices over the rice. Pairs well with Resin IPA (Six Point Brewery).
If you have an mlb.com audio subscription (and if you don't, you should), you can listen to the Orioles feed of the Twins game this afternoon.
I am listening to the Oriole's squawkers now. Wonder why they don't have a TIBN option?
My assumption is that Twins radio is not carrying the afternoon game. Twins radio will have the game tonight.
Twins Radio doesn't cover every spring game and almost never games outside of Ft. Myers.
Twins start most of their expected regulars in the second game vs. the Rays and score 4 in the first and knock out the starting pitcher (probably because of pitch count since it's the first spring game). THE TWINS ARE GOING TO SCORE 1,000 RUNS THIS YEAR!!!!!!1111!!!!
Twins lose first game 7-2: GOSO, when’s the NFL Draft?
Button hits bases loaded single in second game: Buxton’s back baby, gonna be fun!!!
And a three run Homer in his second at bat!!
M-V-P!
Just give him the trophy now.
He's trending on Twitter in the USA.
Listening to MLB while sitting in the shade watching the surf off the Pacific is pretty good, in case you were wondering.
Who is Jeff Ames? He's pitching for the Twins in their spring training game. Never heard of him.
This guy, apparently. I'd never heard of him, either. Doesn't look like much of a prospect, in my opinion.
Former first-round pick of the Rays, so he was somewhat highly thought of at one point.
He strikes out a lot of guys, which I suppose is the allure, but he's twenty-eight and still hasn't accomplished much above AA.
The two kids have already caused us to change 3 sets of sheets tonight. This is going to be a loooooooooong night...
Ugh, good luck to you.
For reasons that make no sense to me, my children only do things that require a change of sheets immediately after I've washed their sheets. (Unfortunately, I washed their sheets today...)
