I learned yesterday that twisty slides are a effin nightmare to assemble. So if you're planning on getting your kids an outdoor playset, straight slides only.

I learned today that back in her college days at UCLA Mrs Runner was tasked with showing "this man" around the campus, and that man was Desmond Tutu just days before he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. That beats her Pat Benetar story!

I was going to watch it on the live feed, but I fell asleep (not sleeping so well at night again after the chest tube thing). My mother watched it, though, and seemed a little disappointed the pastor played it straight by the book with no ad libs.
I planted tomatoes, peppers, green beans, sugar snap peas, and basil today. It got to the mid-70s. Expecting 80 a couple days in the next ten. My orange trees are starting to bloom and my roses are about to.

I saw a big fat robin and my maple tree is budding out. But the grass is still all covered in snow.
