Well, thankfully not actual breaks for Ohtani and Simmons according to x-rays, but that's still some rough luck for the Angels.

Male Cardinal, Oriole, and Goldfinch on the deck already today -- it's been a colorful morning.
I chaperoned the 7th grade environmental camp to eagle bluff outside of Lanesboro. SE MN is underrated. Lots of great birds - oriole, 3 types of woodpecker, rose breasted grosbeaks, blue bird, etc.
I grew up about 20 miles from Lanesboro, in Rushford. SE MN bluff country is definitely one of the most beautiful areas of MN. I don't think I truly appreciated the area until I moved away.
Yeah, school in Winona was pretty groovy.
Some days I really miss being there.
I certainly miss my old life in that city. It's still nice to visit though. Co-op expansion is now complete. No more getting knifed at Schyde's!
Growing up there was pretty okay, too.
Last summer, we spent an excellent week in Lanesboro with my parents and my sister's family, staying in the home of a family friend. There was lots of fun stuff to do for all ages, both right in Lanesboro and in nearby towns. A couple highlights were the International Owl Center and this amazing natural playground.
Overheard in the hallway after swim at the club tonight, walking past a woman and her young daughter:
Little Girl: "Going through a phase... Mommy, what does that mean, 'Going through a phase'?"
Lots of weather and tornado sirens here; Cards game was cancelled well early of the front, and inbound flights were held up for half hour. A Washington, MO siren pole was blown down, ironically.
Damn. With my youngest graduating from college in a couple weeks and moving to Russia for at least a year, this hits hard.

This study could be huge. CBD may be effective in treating opiod addiction.
