If you need a little pick-me-up this morning, here's North Korean military parade footage set to "Staying Alive"
Oddly amusing.
If Odorizzi had the good fortune to have the April 5th stinker against Philly rained out, he'd have a 1.41 ERA.
I will be around pretty sporadically over the next week or so, as I will be attending United Methodist Annual Conference. I plan to have the birthday list ready to go each day. Whether I do any recaps or Minor Details depends on how much time I haven.
Cruz back with the team. Arraez back to the minors.
Roster Moves: #MNTwins return Cruz from rehab assignment and reinstate him from Injured List, option Arraez to Triple-A. pic.twitter.com/tN1PxJOhli
That makes sense. Arraez did well in his time here, but he needs to play regularly and it was going to be hard for him to do that with the Twins, especially once they can't shift one of the regulars to the DH spot as they've been doing.
He impressed me in his short time with the team. Guys like him come in handy in September.
Twins drop two places this week in the 4ltr Power Rankings, from #2 to #4. Mark Doucheira's face says it all.
Buster Olney's twitter top 10 has us at #1. I think I will go with that list.
Rob Manfred reads draft selections with all the charisma of a clerk calling the next number at the DMV.
The Twins have selected Keoni Cavaco, a high school shortstop/third baseman from California, as their first-round pick. You know the name of another alum from his school: Adrian Gonzalez.
FanGraphs predicted Josh Jung for the Twins with Cavaco as the alternate. Jung went to the Rangers with the eighth pick instead.
And the Braves picked Shea Langeliers, a college catcher, who was also a predicted pick in earlier mocks.
I also saw Bryson Stott as a likely pick for the Twins, and he was picked immediately after. I think watching which of the two of them has the better career could be kind of fun, assuming they both progress well enough.
I never liked off days, but I like them less when the Twins are winning four or five times a week.
Especially when you're on a homer predicting streak!

The Athletic has them first for the first time this season.
