Game in progress with Polanco taking on Kershaw. That's a less scary sentence these days than several seasons ago.

Polanco struck out in his first plate appearance. Now it's Berríos turn to get strikeouts.
Berríos gave up a leadoff double but struck out Acuña swinging and got Yelich looking. Báez popped up harmlessly to left. Verlander only went one inning so I assume that's it for Berríos.
Polanco "singles" to bring home the second run.
Lindor greets second base ump.
Buck: That's Phil.
Lindor: Yeah, I know.
heh.
Mvp? How would you pick a person to be mvp in a game where everyone only pitched one inning, and no one really stood out in their two allotted at bats?
Pick a Yankee, obviously
Shane Bieber stood out the most apparently.
Home team player, not a Yankee - what the heck, good for him
If they had to pick someone, he was as good a choice as any.
Honestly, when I was looking over the box score, he came as close to standing out as anyone. Just never figured they'd pick him.
