Although, it would have been funnier if he had shut down his phone in the 8th inning, confident of a Twins win.
I drove up to Brainerd yesterday to do some fishing with my big brother. Got to my mom's house at the end of the 8th inning and went inside confident of a win. My younger brother, on his way home from dropping his oldest son off at NDSU (2 weeks early, he signed on to be a football equipment manager), stopped by for dinner. While we were eating he casually said something like, "I can't believe the Twins lost that game today." I responded with something like, "What the #%$* are you talking about?" Then he related how the final innings went down. Put me right off my potato salad, I'm telling you.
I missed the new posting location ... WalkingPoint's no longer a thing, eh?
That’s correct. I consolidated everything — Walking Point, social media, miscellaneous personal essays —into one domain. (Infrequently posted) Longer-form stuff is here, and short posts/photoblog are here. This way I own everything that would’ve been fired through the Tooter or posted to Instagram.
That is a beauty!
Took the new mower out for a spin just now and it's fabulous. It's noticeably lighter and more maneuverable than my gas mower and got the whole 1/3 acre done using about 75% of the charge. Can recommend.
train ain't stopped yet!
The #Twins have acquired outfielder Brandon Barnes from the #Indians.
The windows are all installed; the only fallout is a section of drywall corner that needs repainting, and a buttload of windows to clean. The look great, though, and it's nice getting the beautiful views without having window treatments closed or sunscreens down to keep out the summer.
Library district's annual Book Fair started today -- always a big deal for Mrs. Runner and myself. Might see if I can build on my Jack McDevitt collection
Library sales can be a great way to pick up first editions cheap, if you're into that.
Lots of people are into that, but we're not paying to attend during the first ½ day. I've found a few that way, but it's not a goal.
Haven't had a Sano bomb in a few days. Boldly predicting #19 tonight
Snuckles likes the camera.
I wish this had been me.

Cc to Mags: Saw a pretty cool old double-cab Cornbinder pickup this morning.

They also signed a few players out of the Atlantic league yesterday.
