Berríos
vs
Rodriguez
The Twins are 9-1 over their last ten games. They're 19-11 against the AL East (thanks Baltimore) and now 2-2 against the Red Sox.
Berríos had an extra day off after an improved, but still okay, start. He lost his start against Boston in June, in the midst of regular bullpen implosions. That time was because the Twins forgot how to score for the series.
Let's guarantee at least a season split with another AL East team. Sure, they aren't going to make the postseason, but those are the teams you need to beat.
Rain delay?
Yep. Small storm however so shouldn't take long.
This has been a frustrating trade.
Do we have enough in the pen to cover for him? #cluelessStribber
Good thing they have Hildenberger in the pen again.
Rain delay chatter from Smoltzie and Dazzle is shading GOML, but some good points as well

I'm starting to doubt Eddie will even get to 30.
One of the topics on the latest episode of Midwest Swing was postseason batting order. Brandon Warne had Rosario batting seventh; I wouldn’t argue with him on that.
If I did it would be that Cave would be 7th and playing left
His RBI total has been really hollow, particularly the last month or two. I don't know how he has as many as he does
You were saying?
He's not there yet
Well, sure. But he's (*checks*) 3.33 percent closer after yesterday.
One of these months is not like the rest.
He'll most likely reach 30. 33 seems really unlikely.
Astudillo’s a hoot.
Good Lord, what pitch are you calling for, Willians??
Schoop with RISP only ends one way.
Oh, my. Berríos didn’t want to be left out of the infield highlight reel.
I'm okay with Harper here; no need to buckle in here -- let's see what he's got now.
Ha! well, I guess he passes.
I don't understand why Berríos is still sent out for another inning to reach 100 pitches. The team has 36 players now, there's zero worry about bullpen workload. Berríos is working through his struggles, no need to do it while tired too.
I thought the same thing.
C’mon, Eddie. Hit the cut-off man.
MLB announcers rightly chastise Eddie's decision to throw home.
Indians winning; Yankees two HR...not our night tonight.
White Sox have the go-ahead run at the plate in the ninth now.
Now it's at first with the tying run at second, one out in the ninth.
Indians pull Brad Hand with bases loaded and one out in the 9th leading 8-6.
A lineout and a strikeout end the game.
What's the deal with Ryne Harper coming out after facing 1 batter?
Why have Graterol pitch a garbage inning when Kohl Stewart & Trevor Hildenberger are available?
Deck chair shuffling.
I dunno. Rocco seems like the kind of manager who’d be interested in getting his younger players the ‘experience’ of pitching/playing at a historic (and mentally challenging?) ballpark like Fenway for his future use in pacifying their jitters.
Yea, I'm not in the least bothered by this. The kid has a live arm and needs some low-leverage experience to get his feet wet.
Yeah, I mean, that was his second major league inning. I think at least a slight ramp up to higher leverage "facing Trout with the bases loaded and the pennant on the line" situation is merited.
I appreciate that Rocco might be tempering Graterol with some low-leverage exposure against a good lineup. What concerns me more is him throwing junk innings after a shoulder injury earlier in the season.
Calling a Cruz homer here.
aww shit. i forgot about that part.
bad veteran miscue, that
