It was mentioned yesterday (full disclosure: by me) that MLB is looking to shave 25% of the minor league teams off the roster, so to speak. For various reasons, that seems like a bad idea, right?

It does. On the other hand, "Minor Details" would take less of my time that way.
Getting up at 5 to watch this match has been a decidedly terrible idea
Salt River was blanked by Peoria 9-0 yesterday. The Rafters are 13-10 and are in first place by one game over Scottsdale.
Luke Raley was 1-for-4. He is batting .185/.247/.277 in 65 at-bats.
Jovani Moran pitched one inning, giving up two runs on one hit and two walks. He struck out one. His ERA is 7.88 with 12 strikeouts and 12 walks in 8 innings.
Thursday, Wilin Rosario was 1-for-5 as Aguilas defeated Estrellas 3-2. He is batting .263/.364/.368 in 19 at-bats.
Also Thursday, Jonathan Cheshire made his 2019 winter ball debut as Escogido defeated the Gigantes 5-0. He struck out both men he faced and got the win.
A candid interview with Dave Mathews. I would guess reading this he doesn't believe he belongs in the Hall of Fame.
fun piece. Thanks, Also, this quote:
That read took me down quite a few rabbit holes - thanks B!
Scoring alert!
Illinois (3-4) just upset previously unbeaten & 6th-ranked Wisconsin (6-1), 24-23, kicking a 39-yard field goal as time expired to secure their first Big10 win of the season.
Wow. Illinois was the first team to score a TD on them in the first half.
The final score if the first time all season Wisconsin has trailed in a game
Wisconsin has 2 wins against good teams this year (Michigan and Michigan St.), but today was just their second road game of the season. Their first was the first week of the season, a 49-0 win against South Florida. They travel to Ohio State next week but don't play Penn St.
The Gophers, barring a second-half comeback by underdog Rutgers today, will be all alone in first place in the Big Ten West Division after today at 4-0. They host Wisconsin to finish the season. Prior to that, the Gophers only have 2 games left in which they probably won't be favored: At home vs. Penn St. and at Iowa. It's looking more and more like the winner of the final game will be going to the Big Ten Championship Game.
Gophers beat Illinois 40-17 two weeks ago.
After the first pass through Sturgill Simpson's newest offering has me grinning like an idiot. Now off to watch the netflix
music videowhatever you'd call it.First time 7-0 since the Twins franchise win record was only 99.
