New season of Letterkenny hits Hulu today. I will try not to binge it in one sitting again.
We're getting ready for the latest snowmageddon. Nine to seventeen inches of snow predicted, starting late tonight and continuing through Sunday, with strong winds into Monday. We'll see what happens, I guess.
Hey, guys had an idea for something fun. Bear with me.
Joe Posnanski is counting down his Top 100 players of all-time in 100 days. Today he posted Mariano River with #91 and while the comments of course are all over the place, one person said, "If all 30 teams started drafting from history right now to make their teams, Rivera would not be taken in the first three or four rounds."
That got me thinking about the WGOM doing a similar draft. Anyone interested would be given a 25 man team to draft and we'd play it out like a fantasy football draft. I'd create a post for each round and we'd all just post a name with comments when it came our turn. There'd be no time limit, nothing at stake. Only rule would be around reasonable roster construction (no taking 22 pitchers or 7 catchers). I just think it would be cool to see what teams we'd come up with and what people value.
In.
Would there be interest in doing some type of Strato tournament with the teams. Is it possible to play online cheaply?
Yeah, this sounds pretty fun.
How are fantasy football drafts different from fantasy baseball drafts?
Dunno. Never played fantasy baseball
I'd be interested in drafting a team but not playing strato or any other game with my team.
I am also not interested in playing strat with them, but if there was enough interest I could possibly run some Diamond Mind simulations and let people know the results.
Totally in
I'd do it.
Sounds fun. I'm in.
Accidentally drafting Nick Punto in the 3rd round, here I come!
