I also liked LMJr, but I'm interested in seeing what the FO feels they can tweak on Anderson.

Kevin Garnett has a book coming out. Not sure if I'm gonna read it, but I did catch a little blurb on it via Amazon. I knew that KG wasn't exactly a good student and that was part of why he came out of high school straight to the NBA. I've always felt, listening to him talk, that he was a pretty intelligent guy. Crazy? Maybe (in a good way!). But, not some dummy. Turns out he has dyslexia, something I had never heard before. He remains one of my all-time favs. That will not change.
He's a great basketball player. He's an entertaining interview.
dyslexia? Is that like bilateral leg weakness?
Good for him to share. Learning disabilities are disturbingly common, and, particularly with students of color, disturbingly overlooked, leading to disparities in application of disciplinary actions and real losses in education opportunities and achievement. It didn't exactly impede his success in the world, but it does impede success for a lot of kids.
It sounds like Russell doesn't know Saunders is part of the country club.
"It’s tough. It’s hard to beat teams well-coached like that,” Russell said after the Wolves were outscored 30-11 down the stretch in a 111-108 loss Wednesday to the Spurs. “We gotta do everything in our power to not beat ourselves. Timeouts, dead ball, whatever it is, you got a million things going through your mind. It’s hard to hear and go do right away. It’s gotta be scripted. You gotta practice it. I think then the results will be better. We’re just trying to be better at the end of the game and limit our mistakes.”
Sounds like Dlo doesn't realize his 4th quarter hero ball is the real problem. Well, that and the coach who allows him to do it.
Yes. Both our local basketball teams have the same problem at the end of games.
I just played my first game of among us as the imposter and convinced the last person standing to vote with me. What a weird feeling of satisfaction this game brings.
Isn't it basically just werewolf?
Yeah but very fast paced. Like 10
Minute games. The imposter can kill at will if no one stops the game by either finding a dead body and reporting it or calling a meeting. There are tasks to complete as well.
My daughter played it for a while a few months ago. I'm not sure if she's still playing, but I watched a few times and it does look fun.
Trey plays it all the time at lunch at school. It's why we let him have data on his phone and our shared data minutes suddenly tripled. It's a way for him to "hang out" with his friends without actually being near them in groups.
He had a 4.50 ERA in '18, a 4.50 ERA in '20 and B-Ref's projection system expects him to have a 4.50 ERA in '21. Hard to argue with that.
He’s averaged 95.7 mph on a four-seamer that he complements with a slider
I feel like I've figured out the pattern of what the Twins are looking for.

finding a replacement for Graterol?
I like that "Meat is 100% beef" thing. But I read it as "WHAT is 100% beef". which is even funnier.
And I feel like it implies that there is a NOT MEAT part of this equation which is not being mentioned...
25 or so years ago, I was with my family in the little town of Wayne, NE to visit my grandmother. My wife and I stopped in the local "mall" to get burritos from the very suspect "mexican" food place. On the menu was "meat" burritos. I asked, innocently, "what kind of meat?" as in what are my choices?
Slack-jawed yokel behind the counter: "uhhhh, MEAT meat."
Thanks, yokel. I can read that. Meat can come from different animals. Was it road kill? No, it was, apparently, ground beef.
Anyway, I ordered one. And regretted it later.
"Er, what kind of meat do you usually have here?"
"Oh, we got both kinds!"
yeah right Lisa, a wonderful magical animal....
KAT has not played since January 13 and will not play tonight. That's more than three weeks, which suggests that he's been struggling with Covid. The Wolves are saying that he's making progress, but I'm a little worried.
With how many of his family that have died from it, it wouldn't surprise me if there's some genetic things that can make people more susceptible to COVID. He's been working out so he obviously is in recovery mode, but it can take a while for some. Seth Curry had it earlier this season and sat out the second half for the Sixers the other day. Doc Rivers said Curry has looked tired and he said he didn't feel well, so they sat him.
Dodgers sign Bauer to a three-year deal. First year has a salary of $40 million with the second year at $45 million. He's guaranteed $102 million so that leaves $17 million in year three in some form.
I could see this blowing up on them or turning into a couple more titles. Bauer is known as a player that doesn't exactly play well with others, but my sons watch his vlogs, and I've gained a new appreciation for him. Plus he was spectacular down the stretch for the Reds, including an 8-inning dominant start on three days' rest in his final game of the season. He also pitched into the eighth inning of a scoreless game against the Braves in the wildcard round. The Reds ended up losing 1-0 in 13.
Bauer's deal also includes opt-outs after each of the first two seasons, which basically is in line with Bauer previously always wanting to stick to one-year deals. If he pitches for a full season like he did last year, he could probably opt out and get a bigger guarantee than what's left on his current contract.
Just received my quote for new furniture for our indoor remodel at the joint. Apparently, I should have gone into the commercial furniture business. 6 figures boys and girls. Yikes! Sorry Nibbish, we decided to go the custom locally made route, so that BIG number will not be going into your in law's bank account. However, I see Jay almost every day fixing something, so I am still doing my part. On a happier note, working on our outdoor patio furniture and the big manufacture in Wadena (just 40 minutes north of us) happens to not only be my designers first choice, but they have agreed to discount our entire project 50%. Win a little, lose a little.
zooomy, as you know, i was in service a long time. not in relation to this comment specifically, but i just wanted to say that i really dig the way you run your joint.
Thanks! You know, I gotta be honest and say it has been a journey. This business humbles you, and every time you think you got it mostly figured out, something knocks you back again. I am definitely not the same operator today as I was 10 to 20 years ago. That all being said, it is great to hear feedback like yours and it has been kind of neat having developers approach me saying they need one of my joints in their hometown. Always have a guest bartender spot waiting for you when you want to go back to your roots!
I'm guessing it's safe to say you aren't the same operator you were 1 year ago.
My wife and I are very effusive with our praise of your place, not only as the best restaurant in town (though it is that, as well), but as a leading positive influence in town. There's a LOT of negativity around here, and you've been a good antidote to it, all while keeping your establishment as safe and welcoming as you can.
Your efforts have been noticed.
Thanks nibbish! Yeah, our area seems to display a tale of two pandemics, which of course is just an indicator of a greater divide. I do feel like I am constantly navigating choppy waters on a daily basis with many of our locals have such a wide array of viewpoints. I do receive a lot of feedback from guests who tell me they really only feel comfortable dining at our joint. This make me sad as there are other places that are doing their best as well, but are unwilling to speak up a bit and tell the world they are safe.

little nicky punto's got nothing on this guy.
inquiring minds want to know what meat is doing about his fried chicken.
