Huh. For some reason, Bauer and the #lolmets seemed destined to me.

This will be the first Super Bowl that I haven't been in Portland for like 5 years. The only reason I'm not there today is the COVIDs.
Too bad they didn't have it in Minneapolis this year.
not exactly #lolmets, but close enough: d-rose is going to the knicks. ooo, thibs...
First world problems, but man! It's 85° freakin' degrees here
We're only about 85 degrees colder than that.
"Just" 73 hear at Ft Myers Beach - much better
Predicting snow for Saturday in the Big Easy. Hilarious. Lots of freaking out.
I remember landing there once in flurries. By the time we reached Veterans, I made the f-i-l pull over and let me drive
I remember seeing a little dandruff in the air in L.A. South Bay once while I lived there, but nothing worthwhile. The freakout can be entertaining
My mom’s family lives in Arkansas. One year when we were there for Christmas when I was a kid, we went out to dinner and a movie with the whole family when there was a bit of snow and freezing rain. We, as well as my Connecticut cousins, thought nothing of it, but on the way home from the movie the local radio was freaking out, warning everyone to stay home. “If you drive in this weather, you will die!!!!!1!!one!!!!!”
For us, it was a mild inconvenience to need to drive a bit slower.
I also landed in Dallas a few years back, and had to drive the rental car through a bit of snow to get to the hotel where my wife was staying. The rental car company seemed surprised that I would even try to drive in weather like that. It was like 1/2 an inch of snow, at most. Different world, for sure.
We were in the low 70s today. We went out and took some pics. This is the site of our new home being built. The first pic is last Sunday, the day before they broke ground on it. The second pic is this afternoon.
Someone wake me when Spring Training starts - this is boring.
