Really, that just means we'll have a kid in the house with nothing to do for a week.

Beautiful weather here, so I'm raking and grubbing out detritus, putting down crabgrass preventer (because forsythia is blooming) and then see about improving my blueberry enclosure. Won't be long and it'll be Oak allergy season, and then I'll be under house arrest.
I need to prune back the oak tree branches that hang out over the roof and garage, and if I don't get to it soon it will be too late. But the roof is clear of snow now so I can get to it this week.
I conferred with the neighbor over which branches to remove on the Yoshino cherry and the red maple out front. The cherry will be busting out in blooms real soon, and I'll get to trimming between flowering and first leaves.
I have been slowly digging up weeds from my yard. Hell is a yard full of Bermuda Buttercup.
Doc, beauty is in the eye of the buttercup.
DO NOT BE A WEED ENABLER.
Creeping Charlie here, but it won't be growing for awhile. It creeps in under the fence from the neighbor's back yard, which we refer to as Vietnam.
My mortal enemy is spurge; it'll be a couple months too before it begins its assault from the neighbor's yard.
Have you found a decent way to rid yourself of it? We have a few patches of it. It's pretty bad in our raspberry patch, but I don't want to disrupt the raspberries until I've got a game plan.
I have never been able to get rid of creeping charlie with my own efforts. As a result, I have RT Seasonal Services spray my yard with weed and feed twice a year. Occasionally, it comes back a bit between sprayings and they will come out and hit it again at no charge. It's a bit expensive, but it is one yard chore I do not mind subbing out to an outside source.
Well, okay then. I got an invitation from Allina to get on their vaccine waiting list so I signed up. They'll email me when I get close to the top of the list, then when they call I have 20 minutes to get to the clinic in Coon Rapids for my shot.
First dose of Pfizer administered 5 minutes ago. I can’t believe how.... light weight I feel. (Even though the rower hasn’t shown up yet....)
Got my first Pfizer shot on Friday morning. Friday night I commented how I had zero side effects, then almost immediately my arm got super sore and stayed that way for a couple of days. Small price to pay.
I felt pretty wiped out all day Sunday. Really sore arm as well. Small price indeed.

There's been talk about how the little brother up north might be able to administer a beating to the Kings in Fargo, but yesterday quieted that talk. #gobison
