I saw that after their 999th win, the Twolves are no longer the losingest (by percentage, and for the moment) male big four sports team. They're now second to worst! Take that, Bucs!

I think that the Twins are on free YouTube game today...fwiw.
Also, it's like a bad Twilight Zone episode today; walking around the HQ trying to find peoples' offices -- some have moved, and some I've just forgotten, but on a good note I'm getting a lot of walking in today.
The Wolves have a long way to catch the Clippers as the second losingest NBA team (shoot, the Clips might pass Memphis soon)
I'm assuming this is by win percentage, because there's no way the Wolves or the Grizzlies has as many losses as the Clippers.
yes by Win Percentage (from basketball-reference. w/l/%)
Memphis Grizzlies 857 1196 .417
Los Angeles Clippers 4105 1702 2403 .415
Minnesota Timberwolves 999 1540 .393
RIP Michael Collins
I don’t often link my online world to my professional world but I’m really, really proud of the team that made our current exhibition possible. Our visitors service staff created an excellent video series on the history of brass and second line culture in New Orleans.
“Social aid and pleasure clubs” is new to me ... neat!
SA&P clubs and benevolent societies are major parts of the culture of New Orleans. People everywhere take for granted the work of the culture bearers and that’s why I’m so proud of this show. Rarely do folks get to see the history, tradition, and evolution of a cultural institution like the social aid and pleasure club’s parade in such a succinct way. I know I keep saying it but I’m really proud of this exhibition.
I gave a shout-out to an old Alma Mater friend and New Orleans native and lawyer on the Book of Face about this and you. Maybe it will lead to a connection.
I dropped a Parentgood post. Haven't had one for a while, and the topic became relevant for me recently...
hey Sean, were you the one who a couple years back sent me a spreadsheet with run exponent statistics throughout history?
Yes.
I couldn't find the email but then remembered it wasn't an email. Looks like I can add three more seasons to the spreadsheet.
that would be wonderful. I still have the one through 2017, but I couldn't find new data. Is this Fangraphs proprietary? And is it only for members? On their site I can only find this season
Updated with 2018-2020 seasons. Order is ascending year rather than descending like last time.
Today. Ugh! I may have had one or two more cocktails than I should have last night. Today, I was on my hands and knees most of the day cleaning out grout lines in our kitchen tile at the joint. We are re-grouting tomorrow. I paid a heavy price for those cocktails. Someone please remind me that I am not 25 anymore.
Make sure you stay hydrated.
Ha! I had too many glasses of wine while dreaming of my new range...........
I had a load of physical work today, too.
I'm seeing reports of 2 and 3 inch hail in storms headed our way tonight. We haven't had any real thunderstorms here since moving in August. My sons don't have any real idea what they're in for. Unfortunately, it sounds like it could be pretty late, so we'll see how much sleep we get tonight, especially with all the bedrooms on the second floor.
As I experienced, storms in Texas are are like everything else there, bigger. We had some serious storms on the high plains that were every sense of the word fantastic.
Fortunately, most of the severe weather stays north of us here in San Antonio. We just had some heavy rain. We were in a severe thunderstorm warning and were very close to a tornado warning. Some parts of San Antonio did get large hail and some urban flooding, but it looks like we've lucked out tonight. We did need rain, though. May is the worst month for tornadoes in Texas, so this could be just the beginning of the fun.
An academic friend at OU just posted a picture on Bookface of a hailstone that measured 2 inches in diameter.
We did have a tornado a couple miles from the homestead back in the late 70's that left a couple stones larger than a baseball near the farmhouse.
There were reports of baseball-sized hail in some areas. We have a one-car garage and it is storing stuff we didn't want to unpack before we move to our new house, so all three of our cars are sitting outside, so the hail had me worried about windshield damage making our cars undrivable till they're fixed.
