On Sunday I got word that my father had fallen and cracked his hip; he's recovering now -- no surgery was necessary, but he is laid up for several weeks, and then will have to go through physical therapy. We're worried for him, though, as his strength has been waning as it was, and just getting up out a chair has been a struggle. He's got a tough row to hoe, especially being almost 91 years old.
I'm also concerned for my youngest brother that lives nearby, who already had the lion's share of caring for a lot of my parents' needs.
He is in our prayers.
Yikes. Hopefully he’s not in too much discomfort.
On your second point, I’m worried about a similar situation wrt to my aging parents and the distance we live from them. That’s one of the shits about getting old(er), I suppose.
We worry about this point as well w/r/t/ where we live in relation to our parents.
The numbers are in the Whangdoodle post, but they save 10 million this year, about 2-3 million next year and then are paying full price for not having Parise/Suter on their team for next two years after that.
My son's streak of bad luck with Wild jerseys continues. Usually a new one is at the top of his birthday and/or Christmas list and this year he got the reverse retro and put Parise on it. At least he made it through the season he got the jersey unlike Nino and Coyle.
Let me know what jersey he gets next so I can go to Vegas with that inside info.
I jokingly told him I appreciated him not going for Kaprizov after he chose Parise.
Today’s entry: leftover Schmidt’s cheddar brats, homegrown green leaf, blue top creamy hatch chili sauce, and crisp jalapeños (think frenchs onions but jalapeños instead (thank you Trader Joe’s…)) on whole wheat. If this is wrong I don’t wanna be right.

What the ...
Is this not a good move for the future?
Not for the immediate future, no.
