Sounds like BerrĂos wants to reach free agency too. Not sure I expect either to be with the team August 1.
That would make me sad. I might understand it, depending on what they got for them, but it would still make me sad.
Buxtonâs IL status makes me wonder if an off-season trade is more likely for him, but with this news a deadline trade seems now much more likely for BerrĂos.
I hope that it isnât a decade before theyâre relevant again. đ
let the Gilberto Celestino era begin, I guess.
Don't forget Jake Cave is back.
Celestino hits like I did when I played. Infrequently.
I hope he doesnât take his overexposure to heart, being pressed into service as heâs been. Poor guy didnât have an inning above A-ball before this season and the extirpation of the outfield began. I donât know what heâs supposed to look like once heâs here for good, but I canât imagine this is it.
Well, another one for Rocco to explain.
All the Twins scoring this weekend came within a half dozen ABs across the end of Saturday night and the beginning of today. Says a lot that five players in the lineup had lower BA than Simmons.
Before Thursday's game I looked at the lineups. We had just three guys hitting over .250, the Angels had seven. With Cruz gone I think everyone on the roster now is hitting below .300.
League average is .243 and the Twins, albeit with Cruz, have exactly matched that.
They hit almost exactly the same at .242 as a team last season*, and .270 the season before that. I like .270 better, that was a great year.
Watching women's 3 on 3 basketball (ROC vs USA). Both teams are lousy. Wouldn't H-O-R-S-E be more cost effective?
My little brother should be at today's game. I'm predicting the local boys get a hit even earlier in the game than yesterday.
You were right!
Sandoval would have been my 3rd waiver wire pickup no-hitter this year.
P. Sandoval kept making me think a different player was no-hitting the Twins.
By the 9th inning I was sort of rooting for the no-hitter, I've never seen one in person before.
Me too. I was sitting in 114 with a couple friends.
I thought the crowd giving Sandoval an ovation when he left the game was pretty classy.
Honest Abe watches MLB Network every morning for highlights of the previous day. His scouting report on Ohtani:
Gonna give Magic's Burner Account a run for its money. Good work, Abe! đ
No hitter alert cancelled!

I miss Luis. Come back soon, dude!
