And just like that, it's August. What's one summer plan you're still hoping to fit in?

Italy hiking trip - Assissi to San Marino - just booked flights and now working on the details. Need to figure out the testing stuff so we can return to US.
Were planning to see Twins in Tampa over Labor Day. Didn't get to add a stadium to the little one's lifetime list last year, so he's still stuck on 7.
Coors Field
Ballpark at Arlington
Target Field
Comerica Park
Wrigley Field
Guaranteed Rate Field
Miller Park
Damn wiener kids always showing me up
As long as i keep him away from Fenway and he takes me with him to the others, I've got him beat.
Berríos makes his debut for the Blue Jays today.
Final line of 6 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 1 BB, and 7 K. He also had three HBP.
I realized Gibson also debuted for the Phillies today. He's at 6.1 IP so far with one run given up.
Wore my "Minnesota" pinstripe road grays this morning to church, so I'm committed. We better take this series
Just found out one of my employees tested positive for the covids. I'm on my out to get tested this afternoon, since I was exposed to her on my meaningless "required half day at the office per week."
welp, living in the one of the covid-delta hot spots (read: a state full of effing morons) I'm still hoping to get to Minnesota at the end of the month, but the state fair seems to be something to start planning on for next year.
We're heading down to the gulf coast (FL/AL line) next weekend. Starting to regret that any of my travel monies are going to be supporting some of the worst states in the nation for covid stuff. Mostly we plan on sitting on the beach, and definitely masking when we go places. Probably not eating out like I had originally planned. Maybe we'll see about carry out. Pensacola Blue Waves game will probably be our biggest exposure to a crowd, but at least outdoors?
Back from an afternoon hiking in Muir Woods. What a special place. Like a fairy wood.
Last time we went, traffic was gawd-awful and parking impossible. I dropped the girls off to hike while the Boy and I drove into the city to drink beer and eat lunch and gawk around the Haight.
Now, Muir has a reservation system with time slots for arrival. The drive in is still a little hair-raising (narrow road clinging to steep hill, no guardrails, lots of tight switchbacks), but parking was a breeze.
We did an "easy" if steep, 2.7 mile hike up toward Mountain Home then back down the Lost Trail.
Late lunch in Mill Valley at Punjabi Burrito. I had one with curried eggplant and curried lamb. So very good.
I've done the same(ish) hike, and can attest that it is (not) easy but it is beautiful.
We did the much easier hike along the creek with the kids there a few years ago. That’s an amazing place. I’m also glad I was not the one driving into the canyon.
we ran across quite a few families with youngish (pre-teen and younger) kids on the hike up and down the hill (Canopy View to Lost Trail to Lower Fern Creek Trail back to the main trail). I was a bit surprised, as the trail narrows to as little as 2 feet wide in places and has lots of exposed roots for tripping.
