(It's not happening, but isn't it pretty to think so?)

Twins 9-2 in the last 11 extra inning games. Anyone know how close Luis' ABs are to making the BA cut?
43 plate appearances short right now.
502 is the requirement for a full 162 games.
I always remembered 3.1 AB/G as a kid
3.1 PA, not AB. Which is probably what you intended to type.
indeed.
Current minimum is 369 PAs and he is at 326. He needs to average 4.2 PAs over the rest of the season to reach 502 PAs. Doable but he needs to play nearly every day.
worst case, he can take outs for any PA short and still qualify at a lower BA
0 for 43 puts him at .276 right now - that would still be the team lead (Polanco is at .268, Cruz has to add 0 for 23, puts him at .273)
You can almost split the season into 3 equal chunks of 40 games.
Games 1-39: 13-26
Games 40-79: 20-20
Games 80-119: 20-20
You are stealing a little thunder from my upcoming game log but that's ok. Definitely great they are playing .500 ball after that disastrous 13-26 start but most people were thinking the Twins would be on low 90 wins pace, not a 80 win pace. So good on the Twins from not being a total train wreck but disappointing nonetheless.
Beverley to Minnesota, Culver and Hernangomez to the Grizzles.
I heard about this from Stick, who noted that he's on an expiring contract. What's the point of this trade?
also, FFS, Culver was the 6th pick in the 2019 draft. Yet another draft bust for the Wolves. Can we go back in time and just keep Cameron Johnson and Dario Saric?
I agree with most of that. Still, he's entering his age-33 season and is in the last year of his contract.
Beverley is the kind of role-player piece you pick up to make a playoff team better. Not a building block.
I've also seen that having him and the guy they got for Rubio on expiring contracts could be used to get a real PF.
2019, not a deep draft. Culver pretty much the worst player in the top 10 though.
At least they didn't trade up for him...

#MNTwins first-base coach Tommy Watkins, who has been vaccinated, tested positive for COVID-19. Kevin Morgan will coach first base until Watkins returns to action.
Next door lady told me at 7:30 that there was a bear in her yard at 6:30. Of course we were eating my Oyster chicken wings outside at the time. Canβt blame the Bruin for wanting some of that action. Oyster sauce soy sauce fish sauce hoisin paprika. Totally bear grub

Minnesota Timberwolves acquire Patrick Beverley from Memphis Grizzlies, sources say
Beverley to Minnesota, Culver and Hernangomez to the Grizzles.

Bears are cool.
