Joe Ryan
vs
Kyle Hendricks
Joe Ryan received a few extra days off but avoided a trip to the IL. Kyle Hendricks lost whatever mojo he had and his now not that good. He's given up the most hits in MLB this season.

I assume this means Ryan is fully healed. He certainly shouldn't be pitching tonight if he's not.
He last pitched eight days ago and no broken bones so definitely possible he feels well enough now.
KEPLER!!
MAX
I look so forward to the day when we have robo-umps.
Sounds like The Windy City is living up to its name tonight.
0-2 and a pitch down the middle? You're better than that, Joe. Nice DP pitch though
The at-bat Cory referenced for Joe Ryan in college was the only at-bat he had in college.
KEPLER, PART 2!!!
MAXX
Max can do no wrong. At least tonight.
Early minor league playoff update:
Wichita trails Northwest Arkansas 1-0 in the fourth. The Wind Surge has six hits, all singles, but is 0-for-6 with men in scoring position. Cole Sands is pitching.
Quad Cities leads Cedar Rapids 4-0 in the fourth. The Kernels have just one hit. Sean Mooney pitched the first three innings, then was relieved by Tyler Watson.
In a regular season game, the Saints trail Iowa 1-0 in the second. Derek Law was apparently used as an opener, or maybe it's a bullpen game. Robinson Leyer is now pitching.
Settin' 'em up to knock 'em down
Joe on pace to strike out nearly 20 tonight, if Rocco will lend him some pitch count slack.
Only needs 155 pitches to reach it. Johnson needed 124, Wood 122, and Clemens I estimate needed 129 pitches.
Look at you go, Joe Ryan
MAXXXXXXXXXX (one X for very total base)
Jealous of Joe's KKKKKKKKKKK
And with that pitching change, we now have two double-first name pitchers facing each other.
couple a Bux
good Lord Jake, what are you swinging at?
Has anyone else noticed that Jorge Alcala has been really nasty lately?
*raises hand*
ever since he came back from his IL stint he has been lights out
Caleb Thielbar should be the team's closer
Someone tell Colome that he can't artificially jack up his WPA this way
Colomé determined to keep his ERA above 4.00.
On a plus note, maybe Colome threw enough pitches to take him out of any near future games.
sweeep!
I think every one of Joe's games he has a WHIP below 1.00
