He knows he's out and wants to make sure Spielman is too.
So does he want Spielman out because he doesn't like Spielman or because he's a fan of the Vikings?
He's just burning down the house before he gets kicked out.
I'd fire him before he starts stealing office supplies.
Thinking about taking a quick trip to NYC in late Feb/early March with Aristotle (we did something similar with Aquinas when he turned 10, covid pushed back Aristotle's). This would be a classic Manhattan trip, and I've no experience with NYC other than a quick weekend wedding in Queens... so any advice is recommended, especially as regards easy travel into the city/places to stay.
That's not really the loveliest time of year there weather-wise. Any way you could make April work? Especially with COVID, that would give you the flexibility to opt for more outdoor activities.
We might be able to - we're just starting our planning - but I know that the show we're hoping to take her to only runs into April (IIRC), so that's part of it. Also, things are cheaper when the weaher is poor...
Mrs Runner took Runner daughter for her 25th birthday...which is the last half of January. While in NYC, they came up ¼" short of the all time record for a snowfall, so you could certainly look forward to something like that.
Not a ton of insight here, but I did have a couple 2021 trips that way.
There's no train from Laguardia to Penn Station. There is an AirTrain-to-LIRR connection from JFK to Penn. Newark has Airtrain-NJ Transit to Manhattan.
Uber from Laguardia to hotel, here, was something like $80. I've taken LIRR from Jamaica to Penn for about $15. Penn to Newark airport is also about $15. Fares are still at off-peak rates right now. That hotel was about $200 when I booked and a fine place to stay. I assume there are plenty of others/similar around. This place had very good NY pizza.
Apps for train travel are pretty easy to navigate - MTA eTix, MYmta, LIRR TrainTime, NJ TRANSIT. You could pre-plan/flag routes and buy fares.
I'll probably be out there again soon, maybe before you go.
I'm really disappointed that link didn't take me to Michael Scott at a Sbarro.
Ferrys
Pizza
Battery Park
Canal
China town that puts DC in its place
etc
eels in buckets. ducks hanging. Knockoffs!
Air BnB's in East or West Village are usually not super expensive, although then it's a bit of haul to Times Square for your show. However stuff around 42nd Street will be spendy There is no easy in or out of the City if you are flying into one of the three airports. You are definitely going off season so finding a place should be ok.
Unless you really want to see it, Empire State Building is super expensive, like $60 for an adult. I'd skip that. Museums are always cool and the Met and Guggenheim are pretty close to one another. If you went in April you could check out a Yankees or Mets game. Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are cool. That could be a cold boat ride however.
Someone's more optimistic about the lockout than I am.

If you draft a QB in the 3rd round and cant trust him to start on week 17 then its probably time to blow the whole operation up.
Big vote of confidence here.

The only good thing I have to say about Manfred is that he’s transparent about being awful.
