Happy to have a warm weekend to get us out of the house.

Tornados in Newton IA last night, where one of my brothers teaches, and near Grinnell, where his family lives. We had some good wind here near StL as well as a little late night rain.
Went to the Wolves game last night and had a great time, it's been a long time since I've watched live basketball and it was a real treat. KAT was pretty dominant whenever he was on the floor, I think he ended up with 36 points and 15 boards. His buzzer beating drive to the hole at the end of the first half was so amazing even he couldn't believe it, he walked over the sidelines to bump fists with people and twice yelled out "I'm. So. Good!" I think I might be a basketball fan again after last night. One thing, though. Do all NBA referees suck as much as the ones working last night's game? Because there was some egregiously atrocious penalty calling, IMHO. In fact, we may have witness the only travelling call in the NBA all year.

I mentioned the travelling call, there were also two phantom fouls and I a couple of technical fouls I didn't understand at all, but I'm admittedly behind on some of the modern rules around that.
The technicals were for "delay of game." Basically, the Wolves kept grabbing the ball when it was out of play. Not particularly egregious, but all were justified under the current rules (and the Blazers got hit with the same rule late in the game).
