Classic example of not using one the main openers (rates, stern... ) biting me on that first guess. I guess it did take away the opportunity to use Sleet as a guess.
Didn't really care for my third guess. I don't think I would've gotten it in three either way, and I did end up getting it the try after, it just felt sort of imprecise, even as I was guessing it.
After multiple postponements the last two years, I'm supposed to be there in six weeks. (The initial itinerary included Ukraine, but that's obviously not happening...)
Only one pointy-shape like that I could think of. Plus the conspicuously-shaped cut out.

Wordle Problems!
I just reloaded the page (The NY Times version), and it ended up with the same word as yesterday. The result says "Wordle 263 5/6" but the word is clearly from 262.
I tried in a different browser, and now it showed with today's actual word. But, I've already seen the answer from others here, so no submission for today. Bah!
YOUNG NOISE
First, I couldn't think of a word ending with "onar" that fit. Second, I was going to try Donor, but didn't want to try two O's yet. Third, I was going to try Conch, but didn't want to have two C's. Then, I finally figured out a word ending with ONTH that could help give a Conch clue while eliminating more consonants. That was a roundabout way to get to that third word for me.
After LATCH, I went through the other letters and determined I should be able to get it in six without resorting to a completely different guess to eliminate letters. Maybe I should have anyway to not take all six guesses. Checking others and I didn't think to count HATCH.
Somehow, I didn't get on the train everyone else did.
the more I'm glad I didn't get any other -atch words, because WATCH doesn't rhyme with MATCH/BATCH/HATCH and I woiuld have definitely not been able to jump tracks from /ætʃ/ to /ɒtʃ/

Yep! Didn't get that one, either. I tried to guess the right answer, but didn't know the third letter was an "e" so when I started to type in "Gur" it showed that there were no possibilities that matched that letter string.
