Plan is to check out of the rehab hotel this Wednesday. Last time I was home was 1/17.
NBBW is working on making our house more 'walker' friendly (bath tub chair, stronger stair rails), etc. I can do stairs without assist. but need the walker for now for regular walking around. She' also lining up an in-home resource to help with stuff. My benefits cover this.
Also need to get a yard/garden handyman for all the things I can't yet do. Not sure what the going rate for this kind of thing is. A neighbor mine is paying $40/hr (large yard) for mowing. I'm thinking just make a list of all the stuff and see what they can do in 1 hr, pay them, then rinse and repeat each week.
Turned on baseball for the first time this year. My son doesn't like baseball. First thing he says is, "Is Buxton injured?"
Then a few minutes later, Bux gets nailed by a throw in the back.
I know its Spring Training and the Twins are facing Baltimore pitching, but the boys are looking good! Time to start the regular season!
Luis with a single and three walks. They've gotta find him some playing time
I really didn't understand the logic of trading for Urshela when Luis was on the roster.
Same reason we had 4 infielders + Luis last year. Urshela replaced Donaldson. Positional flexibility. Luis will get his at bats between spelling the starting infielders, DHing, and covering for injuries. I would be surprised if he doesn't get at least 425 at bats like he did last year. Also, I question his durability and wonder if he could log 155 games at a given position.
What is the durability question?
He had 121 appearances last season and was worth 3.4 rWAR. I would much rather see him in the lineup regularly than Urshela, although I guess a platoon could make sense, and would still give most starts to Luis.
The fact that they're trying to protect his knees is pretty common knowledge. He's been hobbled for long stretches the past few years.
Reminder: draft is at 8:30. Up to 5 keepers can be set until an hour before the draft. If you pick more that 5 keepers, the highest 2022 projectioned rated players will be removed until there are 5.
Ok, I’m a dunce, how are we selecting keepers?
is it not an option on your team page?
Not that I can see?
Alright, I'm calling this for tonight. Let's move the draft to Wednesday. Keepers should be open again(?).
manaea to the padres.
horrible night in Sactown
