Even after the third inning, I was like, well, we'll see how this goes.

I avoided watching this series for a reason. I'm glad they at least got the one win I was asking for.
If you can't win the series, at least embarrass their top pitchers.
I'm not disappointed they lost, I'm disappointed that they choked. They let a very winnable deciding game get away from them last night. The offense stalled, the bullpen buckled, and the defense fell apart. This team has a great deal of talent, but they need more maturity.
They scored seven runs last night. The batters did their part. I noted before the series the Yankees had really good starting pitching. My primary concern was them shutting down the Twins but the batters scored a winnable amount off all three.
But the defense was terrible. It wasn't all on the pitchers.
Yeah, I tried to be precise and not also absolve the position players when they were in the field. Usually the Twins can't score against the Yankees, along with poor pitching and fielding. One third of that is fixed and they managed to win 1/3 of the series.
Emotionally, the fielding bothered me a lot more than the pitching. The fielding seemed to be stupid mistakes not tough plays where they came up short.
I didn't watch any. I listened to about an inning yesterday. Then the Yanks got it to 7-5 and I switched to a podcast. I don't like to listen to reruns!
Give this man a buck (I cant … don’t remember how anymore)
Happy 100th birthday to Judy Garland. I still haven't managed to be in Grand Rapids at a time when the museum is open.
Today feels like a very big day. As many know, I'm the oldest of 13 children. Today is my youngest brother's graduation party - for the first time since I started Kindergarten in 1986 my parents will not have a child in school (excepting college, obviously). My brother is also the youngest of my cousins on my dad's side. There were 50 grandchildren, and now the last one is out of high school - again, this feels notable. I have been going to graduation parties for my cousins as long as I can remember. Now that end. My grandma passed away just a couple months ago, just missing seeing this accomplishment.
It really feels like the end of an era - in a few short years my first nephew will graduate. Time marches on, I suppose. A good day to celebrate those previous accomplishments and look forward to the next generations.
A tip of the hat to your parents, that's quite the accomplishment. I was at my nephew's graduation party last weekend, he's the last of the siblings' offspring to graduate high school, so it's kind of the end of an era for our family as well.
Tonight's Twins game is on AppleTV+. Bummer
Damn. I hope he has a fast recovery and back with the squad next year
#MNTwins announce Royce Lewis has a partially torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.
Expected return timeline is the same as the first time: 12 months.
With all the past crap with Bux and now this, I think it's time to add another layer or three of padding to the outfield walls.
Why can't we have nice things?
my god Buxton. Tied for 2nd in home runs, five behind Judge
I believe Senor Buxton is properly recalibrated again.
Joe Smith turning back into a pumpkin lately, too. I hope he's not broken
Huge win for the Dubs in Boston. Steph was spectacular. Getting home court back is huge.
Fantastic ballgame. Curry was incredible.
Fun game tonight, Smeltzer had another good outing, we got to see an inside the park home run, and Friday night fireworks are back. It finally felt like summer at the ballpark tonight - warm, still, a little humid, the ball was flying pretty good. Buxton seems back to form and Arraez is the frigging Energizer bunny with a stick, he just keeps hitting and hitting and hitting. Scoreboard fact: Buxton is now one of only 4 Twins to have back-to-back multi-home run games. The others were Don Mincher, Kirby Puckett, and I don't remember.
Apparently the scoreboard had it wrong, Buxton is the 5th. The other two are Rosario and Killebrew.
