It's happened a few times now, but Amazon keeps delivering packages to our office that are for other offices around us. Twice now I've been on the phone with customer service for 15-20 minutes for them to come get it, and both times the answer was basically, "Eh, whatever, why don't you just keep it." One guy helpfully suggested I could donate the items to my local charity.
If it's in the same building, I'll walk it over, but I'm not doing anything beyond that. I'll just add these two wired keyboards and three wireless (but not bluetooth) mouses (mice?) to the pile with all that stationary and the $120 desk we received.
call the intended office and make them either come get it or call customer service
That is a good solution.
nah.
(also, refer to the prompt regarding customer service)
(if you re-read, you'll see I'm saying to make them come and get it, or make them call customer service)
sure. still nah.
I get that rainouts happen a lot in the Spring but the Twins having played 7 more games than the Guardians seems crazy to me on June 16.
Yeah, I saw that yesterday and meant to say something. That's crazy.
Did they have any games postponed because of COVID?
I’m in DC for work this week and am trying to convince the boss to head to the ballpark tonight. He’s…… not biting.
You should also head to Ben's Chili Bowl.
Don't they serve it at the game?
They used to, at least. But it's been almost 13 years since I've been to a Nats game.
Wow. It definetly doesn't feel that long.
I saw the Twins play there in an exhibition. 4-5 years ago.
Made it to the park. Good looking park, expensive beers.
We have tickets for Saturday's Rox vs. MoonDogs game in St. Cloud, then we're going to the Twins game next Tuesday when it's supposed to be hotter than Luis Arraez's bat. Then my sister and BIL will be here for the Rockies series next weekend, they have tickets for Friday next to the 3rd base dugout and Saturday we have a family group of 8 going, and I'll be working that whole series. This is what summertime is for.
I'm headed to DC a week from today. I'll be doing work-related things at a conference (poor me, lots of very nice meals and celebrations for book awards) and Mr. NaCl and the boys will be sightseeing. Mr. NaCl, who lived briefly in DC years ago, has already noted that our hotel is near a Ben's Chili Bowl location.
When I logged in I got the Target Field from behind home plate banner that I made back in 2010 and realized that quite a bit of the current skyline is missing.
