I'm writing this at 1:49 in the morning because I just had to watch another episode of Better Call Saul.

I'm in the midst of at least six (new) shows right now, and new seasons of Only Murders in the Building and What We Do in the Shadows coming soon. Plus trying to finish a book.
The Mrs wants me to start watching The Bear with her. I hear that bears are cool.
I recently finished The Manolorian and am a third of the way through season three of ST: Discovery. Dubious side benefits of COVID and retirement.
Ditch the Discovery and go immediately to Strange New Worlds
IMO, Discovery is good (the great at times) and Strange New Worlds is fantastic. Both worth a watch
I'm a little tired of Mary Sue Michael Burnham being the solution to every problem that plagues the universe in all times and dimensions...otherwise, yes.
Well, yes, I suppose. And there's a wee bit too much melodramatic crying for my space opera tastes.
But Michelle Yeoh is awesome.
I am kind of annoyed about retconning her (Burnham) into Spock's family. Surely Sarek was not the ONLY Vulcan who could have been pressed into service? They could have found other ways to get her and Spock to bond.
And he's dyslexic? Come on.
Maybe my email to hj wasn’t sent too late, then…
like we could manage a hard deadline around here. also, the compiler that assembles the song candidate list (for anonymity's sake) is out of pocket anyway, so keep them coming through the weekend if you've got them, gang.
Mark Appel is getting his first big league call up at 30 years old.
• All-American at Stanford • No. 1 pick in 2013 (Astros) • traded to Phillies in 2015 • designated for assignment in 2017 • announced he was stepping away from baseball in 2018 • returned to Minors in 2021 pic.twitter.com/H23zUinvu6
Looks like the Phillies converted him into a reliever and he's been good in AAA this year.
i was surprised to see david price is still hanging around as a reliever.
“We come into every game with a good plan. We come in ready to attack. Sometimes, baseball … baseballs. It does what it does. It becomes a really hard game for a couple of days. I've got a lot of faith in this clubhouse and a lot of faith in that lineup."

We'll probably need a Sometimes, baseball...baseballs button for future gamelogs
