Everything around today is very busy, but surprisingly, not much is scheduled for today. I’ll take it.

On my way back from a ten day hiking trip in New Mexico. Not the best week to take Amtrak. 4.5 hour delay and they put us in four person booths instead of the reclining chairs we were supposed to have. Sleeping in a four person booth is worse than a tent.
HIGH SPEED RAIL NOW!
So after sleeping on it, I'm all in on this Gobert trade. This puts the Wolves at least into the top 4 in the West, right?
I'm not quite all in, but after reading some analysis I feel a little better about it. It stinks that two of my favorite players from last years squad are now gone (V8 and PatBev) and4 draft picks is still a lot (5 if you consider Kessler as trading a draft pick) but now the Wolves have their first really big time player since...when.. Jimmy Butler, or prime career KG
My take on the trade has changed a bit as well. If we are a top 12 team in the league for a while, then the first round picks aren't as valuable as maybe we all think. I know some late first rounders blossom into superstars, but those picks are super unknowns. If we fall to the bottom 10-12 teams, then the trade will feel more painful as we will see some pretty darn good players drafted with those picks. I am going to give the leadership some benefit of the doubt for now. I reserve my right to sit in our armchair and criticize well after the fact. I really think Edwards really has a chance to be a more than special player in this league and putting some star power around him makes sense. If our coach is who I believe he is, I think he can mesh these players together and get some great results. That all being said, I will still probably only watch a handful of games before playoffs because HOCKEY.
Minnesota accidentally legalized edibles and then the Wolves made the craziest trade in franchise history. Coincidence? I think not.
The craziest trade was definitely KG for a pile of crap and no draft picks.
I know the edibles is a fringy political topic, but I have to be honest and say I find this development pretty hilarious. I will leave it at that.
I'm using it as an opportunity to try to get my lame brother to try it.
Yes. It will create a bit of a management challenge at the joint, but I am not too stressed out a bout it. Maybe, just maybe, in the grander scheme of things, it will just settle people down a bit about... everything.
maybe the long-con is making people not care about everything else
"the joint"?
A niece with Covid threw a monkey wrench in our travel plans, so we'll be stopping overnight in Maple Grove. Good news is lunch in Alex looks pretty solid now 👌
