I wonder if Cave could be a trade chip. You're not going to get anything great for him, obviously, but if a team was looking for an experienced fourth outfielder, they might give up something worth having. The Twins have no use for him unless a bunch of outfielders get hurt, so it would be worth looking into, and I assume the Twins are.
I've been wondering the same thing for a while now.
