RIP Judith Durham
Here's also a short little documentary on the song, and as you can see (besides dropping the key slightly, because older) she still absolutely pwns it.

I always got a kick out of the message of this song: Don't wear such dowdy clothes and you'll be popular.
Haven't seen the film but I'm guessing that's the source material. It's the right time frame.
Although they're a 180 musically, it reminds me of Kansas' "Andi"
Oh wow, I didn't realize it was related to a movie. According to Wikipedia, the song was used at the beginning and end of the movie with markedly different lyrics, and the commercial version had different lyrics as well. Now I'm interested in finding out the differences.
and the movie might be in Mrs Runner's wheelhouse; might make for casual date night fare. I'm kind of curious about it now, too
Dang, looks like I need to queue up an RIP post for fellow Aussie friend of Judith, Olivia Newton-John 🙁
A couple of years ago one of the Eagles (Glen Frey?) died during my video week. I told HJ that I wasn't going to do a RIP vid for him and that he could do one on the Monday afterward.
thanks, I think I'll play that card as well. I don't mind one, but at this rate that's all I'd be doing this week. Stay alive, everyone, we'd prefer to have you around some more, please
