Here's a combination fastball/splitter/sinker. If you get a piece of it, I'll let you name it
"Stephen."
Went to the game last night with a buddy who is from Boston and he is a huge Red Sox fan. To say he was impressed with Duran is an understatement. I liked that they brought him in for the 7th inning as the meat of the order was up and he just mowed them down. Filthy stuff. The game was looong, and we got back home at around 1 am.
I have noticed the past 2 games that the Twins do not have people selling beer and other items in the sections anymore. I mentioned it to my buddy and he said Fenway still does. Any feedback out there on that? In a way, I don't mind the lack of interruptions during the game. However, as guy who doesn't like to leave my seat during the game, it would be cool to nab a beverage or two without running up the stairs.

If you order through your phone you can have it ready for you and prepaid when you hustle
There were no beer vendors in the stands at Petco Park when I was there in June.
They stopped doing vendors in the stands due to COVID, replacing it with mobile ordering, and they haven't gone back. The only vendors in the stands these days sell Split the Pot raffle tickets for the Community Fund. Target Field is also a cash-free facility, all transactions are by payment card. If you only have cash, there are a few reverse ATMs for converting cash into card. That was another COVID adjustment, I believe.
It works for me because I'm typically looking for Summit or Lift Bridge anyway.
Morneau with an hilarious story tonight about Johan tipping his changeup. Loosely paraphrasing the punchline, "he's tipping his pitches, winning Cy Youngs!"
The moral: Johan's changeup was ridiculous.
Corey and Dazzle were also on a roll last night re: Sanchez' HR #150 / #151 confusion. Nice when the team can hold a lead
Jhoan Duran threw the first 100+ mph "off-speed" pitch in baseball history last night.
