After winning five in a row to get our hopes up temporarily, the hometown boys have dropped six of their last seven to fall two games behind Cleveland and tied for second place with Chicago. It's not like we don't have a chance to win this division, but considering the quality of play we've seen in the past week there's not much reason for optimism in that regard.
Sonny Gray vs. Nestor Cortes on the mound tonight, so we face a tough lefty in Yankee Stadium late in the season after dropping three games there in two days. Good luck, boys. You're going to need it.
Play ball!
Season is over, mind as well throw Billy Hamilton into the starting lineup!
Pinch runner gets picked off of first. Sanchez could have done that.
Bottom of the 9th going as expected
Dang
Huh, that was unexpected.
Yes. Genuine surprise. Apparently I feel the same way about Twins/Yankees as I do about the Vikings all the time.
it's a christmas miracle...
I don’t watch games in Yankee Stadium. This has been true for 4 or 5 years. It appears I’m not alone.
Even following via Gameday was a white-knuckle job. I can’t believe that just happened.
Yes to all of this.
I woke up to check the score (4:30 am here) during Hicks' AB, and I was all ready to shoulder the blame...
A lot of people commenting at the end here considering we all GOSO'd this morning!
Admittedly, it's hard to pass a wreck and not look...
I watched the game and I still don't believe what I saw.
