It's actually cheaper to buy the giant Membership Store candy bags than the smaller ones elsewhere. That said, my tell-the-kids-to-take-a-big-handful strategy definitely helped to keep the unused ordinance low around here.

The jalapeno brought home a truly absurd amount of candy--roughly 15 pounds. He isn't allowed to keep it in his room, but we're suddenly in need of a pantry--or perhaps a root cellar--to store it all.
Our top haul was about five pounds, albeit two kids each achieved similar amounts.
Rumor has it around these parts there were fewer big items, which was probably good for everyone, because I've never seen such a busy Halloween. I blame the great weather - lots of people out for a long time. Kids ended up doing just fine... except for the one who was home sick.
Sadly (luckily?) we live on the half of town with fewer kids, so lots of leftovers for mom and dad from our own stash.
I feel kind of cheated. Last year we had around 50 kids and this year we only got 10. And no World Series game.
We had pretty decent weather but only 30 here.
The ChiSox found a new manager.
Timberpups on TNT late tonight to those who can't watch them on Ballys
