Our kitchen faucet needs replaced so I get to go shopping at Menards today. And because it's right next door, we'll do a Costco run, too. And because the bar is getting a little depleted, a trip to Total Wine and More is in order. We've been trying seasonal variations on the old fashioned using bourbon and apple cider and maple syrup and oranges and cinnamon sticks and such. I think some of the recipes would be better with rye, though, since they tend to have a lot of sweetness, so I may pick up a bottle while we're out.
We fell in love with Total Wine earlier this fall - thankfully it's not nearby.
Yes. Yes. Yes!
Morocco, 732 Morocco, 2022 π€ WE HAVE CONQUERED THE IBERIAN PENINSULA AND ARE PREPARED TO BATTLE FRANCE
A friend and I are trying to plan a day/night doubleheader with Twins and Saints games this summer. I only found two weekend dates that work - May 27th and September 23rd.
There was only two last year too. I definitely would like to do that.
I'm surprised they wouldn't try to make more of an event of that.
You'd think the saints would be all over it.
I've definitely tweeted at them they need to sell a Twins+Saints+Light Rail package
My guess would be that Twins/Saints are close substitutes, and that the Saints tend to be the disproportionate losers.
A double header is a big time commitment. Split double headers are even bigger commitments.
How is it a commitment? You schedule a day game and a night game on the same day. They are both playing those days, anyway.
It's a huge time commitment for fans. All day, or all afternoon and evening.
But how would the Saints lose by not going head-to-head with the Twins? I'm literally just asking them to not schedule head-to-head with the Twins a few Saturdays or Sundays a year. I'm not asking for actual double header. Just the possibility to do one if I'd like to.
As far as I can tell, there are only two Saturdays that this would be possible.
Ahh, I misunderstood. I thought you were asking for coordinated, same-day scheduling.
I liked Dave Benz calling Wolves games, but man Michael Grady is really good and him and JimPete have great chemistry.

Just what we need, Moor humor.
