We didn't go home this year, so with all the cold and such, it's been real nice to be able to just all chill together inside a warm (and consistently electrified) home. I've been very thankful for that. Hope your holiday is just as comfortable.

Anyone have a good dishwasher recommendations? Santa didn't get my list I guess and I just have nowhere to start on what's a good dishwasher.
When our last one died the repair dude recommended a Bosch. So far we are happy with it. He said to stay away from Whirlpool & LG.
Yeah, in my limited research, that brand seems to get the highest ratings (and is priced accordingly however...).
Consumer Reports likes the Bosch 100 series and 300 series models best.
I'm thinking this is the route we're going to go. Appreciate the reccos, friend-os.
I offered the same advice to my dad and I'd ask his experience, but I think he wants more than a week before rendering judgement. I'll let you know in a couple years.
Seconded. We picked a quiet one and it's definitely that. Cleans well, maintenance is easy (we mostly skip it, though I did finally clean it recently), and haven't had any problems.
Thirded. Very happy with the cleanliness of the dishes and the general lack of (loud) sound it makes while in operation.
One thing to note is do not overload the upper rack. That will put just enough pressure on the door to cause a leak!!!
We really like our Miele, but I’ve heard it’s double-expensive to repair.
We have a GE model #GDF650SMJ4ES -- very quiet, and low water usage. It's done a good job for us with no real problems
Did I get a new coffee maker for Christmas? Hell, no! I got a Ninja DualBrew Grounds & Pods Specialty Coffee System. It replaces the old Mr. Coffee and Keurig and takes up about half the counter space. Mrs. Twayn finally got the pro Kitchen Aid stand mixer she's had her eye on for a few years. Younger Daughter and her boyfriend were with us for dinner. We roasted an eye of round medium rare and backed it up with au jus, twice-baked potatoes, asparagus, and a Pike Road pinot noir (Oregon). Pecan pie, bourbon balls, and maple nut fudge for desert. This is where I have to remind myself that last winter I packed on 25 pounds and I don't want to do that again.
My 5-quart Kitchen Aid mixer died last year after about 18 years of pretty regular use, so I replaced it with the 6-quart option. It's big and heavy so it lives permanently on the counter, but it's sturdy as all get out and I have no complaints!
Just gave Sheenie a second 6-quart bowl for her Kitchen Aid as a final Hanukkah gift. She baked 19 different cookies as gifts for various family members and friends in the past week.
Adding, she has just 40 forty different cookies left from her Julie/Julia journey through The King Arthur Flour Cookie Companion. She tracks her progress on Instagram @bakingallthecookies
Is she a superhero in the MCU, or the DCEU?
Oooh, following!
Is it me or has there been like zero buzz for any NBA action today
