Okay, it's a place like one of those Brazilian steakhouse places where they walk around cutting off pieces from big slabs of meat, but with sandwiches!

The new Chinese TV series Three-Body based on Liu Cixin's Hugo Award-winning novel "The Three-Body Problem" now has several of the episodes for free on Youtube. This series is a big deal to China's contribution to sci-fi, and there's a lot riding on it. Netflix also has the series in the works (with Sur Davos, Sorcerer Supreme Wong, Samwell Tarly, Keiko O'Brien, et al); God knows when that'll ever see the light of day.
So far I'm finding the film style very reminiscent of BBC miniseries. Subtitles run by fast, so I have to be on my A-game while watching. It's been a bit since I read the books, but what I've seen so far has been faithful, to my recollection.
Do they serve hotdogs?
Chicago dogs are bread bowl salads, so probably not those.
Still a sandwhich.
When I win the lottery, I'm in on this idea.
There is a chain that basically does this. Need to hunt down the name, but before it closed it was one of my go toos in Arlington

Has anyone seen the new Twins Cities grey jerseys anywhere for sale?
Twinsfest is next Saturday, I would bet money you could find one for sale there.,
Also Barcelona (and maybe Spain in general, Mags?) have Pinchos (spelling) in the bar counter. you turn in the kebab sticks when you leave to pay for what you eat (prices are color coded)
I haven't been to barcelona in 18 years, so I'm not sure.
I haven't encountered those in my more recent travels in Southern Spain though
I'm assuming most of you are aware, but you can't beat this price (and Twayn can advise you on how not to get shooed out of seats).
I can't get the website or the ballpark app to work
I kind of feel like I should buy two of those to every weekday day game. Going to those games always feels great.
When I worked in the North Loop we took a lot of half days off for the businessman's special. Good times.
RIP David Crosby
He certainly got his money's worth.
Just decided that instead of flying down for my uncles funeral in Pensacola next week, my wife and I will be driving down and take a couple days of 55-65 degree weather. 21 hours each way is a bit long, but man the flights were expensive and had stupid layovers and renting a car is still not cheap. I guess a few days of windshield time may be good for my soul.
I love driving cross country, but I prefer to do it in the not winter seasons.
Not me. But if it has to be done, I highly recommend driving a vehicle with butt coolers, like my dad's Lincoln Navigator.
Big step up from the Chevy Nomad wagon with vinyl seats he bought in 1972 (and which I drove in h.s. and college).
I never thought I cared about butt warmers/coolers until we bought our 2016 Kia Sedona. They rule extremely hard.
I don’t often use the seat heaters in our Subaru, but those and dual-zone HVAC have averted many “discussions” about climate conditions in the car.
As winter tough as I try to portray myself, I admit to taking the van to bring the kids to school on cold mornings because of the heated seats and steering wheel.
you can be winter tough and also not be stupid -- it's allowed
My wife so happens to have a vehicle with butt coolers and warmers. They are a game changer!
Drove with a friend down to Sarasota a few years ago. Took two days and set up shop in Nashville on the first night. It was a good experience. I realize Nashville is not halfway to P-Cola, but there ain’t much worth merit in southern Illinois.
Paducah is an option.
The goal is to spend the night on the other side of a city, so you're already ahead of the morning traffic when you get going again. We've used Macon (S of Atlanta) and Marietta (N) as stops on the way to Ft. Myers.
