If it wasn't for WGOM Co'C, I wouldn't know what kind of cr@p I don't care about!
its pairs well with the giant ball cap trend
I don't remember if I mentioned, but I have access to a weird kind of local Craigslist here that is awesome. Tons of great items in good to great condition at really decent prices. Today's steal: I got one of these Le Creuset grill pans for $10. Which is great because it means I can now throw this one into the sun (or would if I could lift it).
The "Buy Nothing" group in our town is occasionally ridiculous in the things that are made available for free. Affluent suburbia can be a trip.
What? Dude, that Lodge will outlast cockroaches.
I don't use mine anymore, preferring to use a conventional cast iron for steaks indoors. But those Lodge pans are great.
I have 3 other cast iron pans from them, and they're great. No complaints. But that grill pan is next to impossible to properly clean.
Fair. Getting and keeping good seasoning on the ridges is hard.
The first grader who brought the knife has been a target of a pattern of bullying by a student in the Poissonnière class (also first grade), one that the school administrators have apparently allowed to persist. (In other instances, teachers have been placed on leave by the now ex-principal for interceding, as it appears that actively addressing the behavior went against the principal’s philosophies.) The bullying was both severe and frequent enough that the victim felt they needed to being a knife to school for self-defense and intended to use it the next time they were targeted.
Still no official notification from the school.
So, to be consistent, shouldn't that principal allow the kid to defend him/herself?
Goddamn it. Fire the principal (if still employed by the district) and hire someone with ethics a wee bit more advanced. Elementary school should not be kill-or-be-killed, FFS.
It’s absolutely galling to me that this is still unreported to parents. I can appreciate that there are certain privacy rights that likely come into play, but that doesn’t excuse a complete lack of notice. It’s not necessarily as egregious, nor specifically on point as an example, but the precept of a psychologist’s duty to warn comes to mind.
Setting aside that, would you rather have parents hear the news through gossip or a message from you?
Absolutely salient
This is very cool. Stick around for the whole 3 minutes.
