I pulled my headphones off from a scary movie to get ready for bed just as a crash of thunder rolled over the house. Dun dun dun!

Happy Casimir Pulaski Day!
Wasnt she the doctor in season 2 of Star Trek: The Next Generation?
This weekend I randomly decided to do a spring cleaning of my main personal email account. I'm hoping it will decrease just how annoyed I've been feeling every time I check it.
I went to the Springsteen concert last night. The two papers had glowing reviews.
It was ok. A good send off to a long career. It wasn't better than past shows. It wasn't particularly close.
I was maybe going to go if I could score a reasonably inexpensive ticket but no luck. Also from video's posted on line, I think I would have had your same reaction.
On Saturday evening I saw Titus Andronicus at the Turf Club. They are fellow New Jerseyites and could be generously described as a punk-like Springsteen. During the show my friend said, "I don't get why some people are spending $400 to sit 100 yards away from Bruce when you could spend $20 and get basically the same experience but up close." A bit of hyperbole, but he ain't that far off.
I like Titus but their lead singer sounds a little like the lead singer of Lucero got really drunk in the studio.
I’m fairly certain all of the boyos in lucero are drunk in the studio.
Agreed, but Titus takes it up a notch.
Thanks for making me feel better. Those paper reviews had me feeling like I missed some life-altering show. (I had also been looking at tickets up until mid-afternoon yesterday.)
The reviews were really grading on a curve. Compared him to the Rolling Stones and Elton John, not artists in their prime.
Back from LaLa Weekend with the kids, helping them pack.
I mentioned that I had gotten light-headed Friday evening from giving platelets and plasma on Thursday. It lasted most of the day Saturday, so I wasn't massively helpful with the packing. Sunday was much better.
And then we got birria from Bierrieria San Marcos. Oh, man....
My diet resumes Tuesday.
What is the boy up to in NYC? Aren't the movies still made in Hollywood?
Yes, but writers can write anywhere, and most of his meetings are via Zoom.
Gotcha. Moving for the weather and low cost of living. 😉
EXACTLY!
