Looks like I'm at the bottom of the bracket, but still have a decent amount of potential points. My only chance is Texas making it to the finals I think. Um, yea Longhorns? Fight Fight Fight?

So the Gophers and BU advance to the Frozen Four. St. Cloud played well enough but the Gophers are a juggernaut and they grind opponents down with relentless execution. And they do it with 14 freshman and sophomores on the roster. In today's regional final games Ohio State challenges Quinnipiac (3:00 p.m. CDT) and Michigan faces off against Penn State (5:30 p.m. CDT).
The new refurbished laptop arrived around 3:00 p.m. yesterday and I spent the next six hours running Windows updates and driver updates and Lenovo updates and BIOS updates and all sorts of various updates and software/hardware installations. It's a three year old Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 3rd gen, built on the X1 Carbon 6th gen architecture, but with a touchscreen and 360 degree lid hinge for tablet mode. The SSD is only 256 GB so that will get an upgrade once I have everything configured the way I want and backed up. So far I really like it ,the screen has a 1080 max resolution and the 1440 would have been nice but you get what you pay for. It has a built-in electronic pen which is nice for freehand writing and drawing or just to keep fingerprints off the screen while browsing. The keyboard is really nice despite the short keystrokes. The cover shows some signs of normal use and wear but the screen and keyboard are immaculate. I ran some basic diagnostics and everything looks to be in really good working order except for a few unknown devices with non-existent drivers in my device manager. That's an age-old Windows nag, although it is much less painful to resolve than it was in the Win95, Win98, and WinME days.
I've been using an X1 Yoga as my work computer for the past 6 years. I'm planning on getting a new one within the next year - I'm pretty rough on my computers, and these have held up very well, except for the power connections and, on my first computer, some keyboard issues towards the end of it's life. I'm starting to get some of those power connection issues now on my current model, which has to be 3 years old, give or take. Other than that, I love everything about the Yoga, and will almost certainly go the same direction again.
Does it use USB type C for its power? My Thinkpad has power connection issues with that port. Never had a problem with the old barrel connector. I plan on switching to Framework for its eventually replacement because then it'll at least be easy to repair if it happens again.
It does, and the prior model had something else that wasn't USB C or barrel.
Looks like today's game is free on the ol' .TV today.
Lots of grousing on the internets machine about Bailey Ober being sent down. But the way it has been going to last few season with injuries, my guess he it will be a short stay. (I'm not wishing injuries on players of course)
Got to hear the ballgame today on the drive down to Horseshoe Bend, AR with the ol' bluetooth-to-car streaming. I don't have any problem with Bailey being sent down, and neither did Dazzle -- they want him to get regular work and that's tough with a large starting lineup and days off at the beginning of the season. And I don't think it'll be for long, as well.
bye bye bracket
Whoa, SDSU came roaring back! Yay, sports!
Awwwwooooooooooo!
this never gets old 😆
