2023 Game 33: Twins at Guardians

I think it's fair to say that the White Sox series had mixed results. The pitching was good, the bats were ass. Tonight the Twins travel to Cleveland to start a key early-season series. Already up 3.5 games on Cleveland, the Twins could really start to pad that with some head-to-head victories, or let it slide with some loses.

Bailey Ober starts tonight against rookie Peyton Battenfield. Which is a horrible name for a pitcher. Honestly.

  1. I'm glad the Twins got a break, but I don't understand why a foul tip hitting the ground would not be reviewable.

  2. I stepped away for a few minutes, and the Twins scored two runs! Maybe I should step away more often.

  3. Waiting the maximum amount of time before activating my Apple TV+ free trial means I get to watch some Friday night baseball.

    1. AppleTV production values leave Bally in the dust. MLB should partner with Apple to produce its broadcasts when Bally goes bankrupt.

        1. Ben Lindbergh and Meg Rowley interviewed the company in charge of the probability engine and it felt like they were interviewing a politician about dead children. The obfuscating to even the most basic questions was insufferable.

      1. That was the first series I watched after signing up. I finished it late last week. Oh man.

          1. I kinda wish I had the ability to sever my work life from my real life......

  4. Nice try by Ramirez to score from second on the high chopper, but easily out.

    1. It's only been four games since so hard to judge, but six walks to three strikeouts isn't good.

    1. The play-by-play guy remarked the 2-0 lead might be insurmountable by the Guardians.
