Some summer like weather will be coming to town this weekend. I have not minded the mild temps so far. Oh, and we could get this thing we used to get called "rain" too.

El@n sucks for so many reasons, but casually dismantling the verification system is up towards the top. Having to wade through all the $8/mo experts during a possibly monumental developing story to get to information that may or may not be real is lame.
The Tweeter sucking even worse aside, some amazing things seem to be happening.
This is even a worse tweets machine development
Pretty sure the WGOM's account also had its access revoked. I'm hoping the Mastodon side will be running soon. I haven't checked any other tweeter options.
A lot of great accounts are getting hit by this. Ridiculous. The Front Page of the Internet has similarly minded people in charge it seems.
The CEO said he was inspired by Elon.
Betcha that guy pays for a checkmark.
I was a young news producer when the Iron Curtain came down, this feels a little bit like that even though it's definitely not a grassroots uprising. Authoritarian rulers can last a long time but their ends can be sudden and violent. Back then there was a brand new kind of journalism on Fox that was making waves, tabloid TV they called it, ushered in by Bill O'Reilly and A Current Affair. Everything old is new again.
I don't think we're looking at "ends" here (I wish!), but God knows Ukraine was certainly due for some better news.
Prigozhin apparently going to "exile" in Belarus.
Definitely won't be poisoned.
I'd be weary around any high windows though.
When was the last time the Twins had an Elly De La Cruz? A super hyped prospect that took the league by storm as soon as they arrived? Royce could have, but got injured right away. Buxton started with a whimper. Mauer might have, but he lost almost his entire rookie season to injury and it took him two more years to become elite. Santana and Puckett were not super hyped and took a couple years as well. Tony Oliva in 64?
Liriano? Not quite this fast though.
How hyped was he? He had a great year in AAA in 2005 but I don't remember how much he was talked about
Baseball America ranked him #6 before the 2006 season.
David McCarty comes to mind. Card collectors at the very least were gobbling him up, and when we buy collections from then, heβs always got his own section (like Todd Van Poppel).
I didn't realize he was really good his first 20 games
Sir Rodney? I don't know how hyped he was, but an All Star and ROY. First of 18 consecutive A-S appearances. Debuted at 21, making the leap from A ball onto a pennant contender.
Bought our Milan -> Turin train tickets for October; still need to get our Turin -> Florence tickets yet. I'm really looking forward to my first high-speed ride (hopefully Frecciarossa). Booking took a little finangling, what with different fares, classes, and even multiple stations per city. But the price was certainly very reasonable
We hit 250+ kmh in the Ave in Spain. It's awesome
They're talking 300 with Frecciarossa; fingers crossed π€
So, uh, Angels Rockies then?
Is 25-1 a Scorigami?
Looks like it happened once before. 25-0 has not. Dumb Rockies, ignoring history
