When I saw the headline "Honeydew" I thought it would be about muskmelon. I love muskmelon.
Well, let's make it about that then.
(see poll above; apparently you can't post them in comments.)
I added a third option because some people are like that.
I am like that. All melon is the worst fruit.
Why do you hate America, Phyllo?
That's me. I'm allergic to raw fruit.
Really? I had no idea that was a thing.
If I even handle a watermelon my hands will start itching.
Boo. This is sad.
I'm allergic to raw apples. Something about cooking them breaks down the proteins or something (thank God)
Same.
My dad always calls cantaloupe "muskmelon."
A cantaloupe is a muskmelon. But not all muskmelons are cantaloupes.
I did not know that. I just thought he was using a Nebraskaism.
'Sotaism
Yeah, we called them muskmelon growing up in SE Minny.
Yep.
We grew Minnesota Midgets in our garden several years ago. Very delicate flavor.
RIP, Tony Bennett.
Honeydew is gross.
I will eat an entire canteloupe by myself in one sitting if left unattended
Cantaloupe. And the best of the bunch is Rocky Ford cantaloupe. I have to really hunt for them here, but I've found them at Byerly's and at Whole Foods from time to time.
The peperoncino loves watermelon; in the summer I’ll just put a bunch of it out and let him eat to his heart’s content!
And over the years I've moved my Watermelon vote to Gross
Watermelon is a gourd. And why does Rhu_Ru hate America?
I'm team watermelon too.
As a kid, I loved cantaloupe and watermelon. Can't tell you the last time I had either. Not on my radar.
Dude. Cantaloupe and prosciutto.
Watermelon and watermelon. It's 'Murica.
I love all melons, though I'd take cantaloupe over honeydew if a choice was required.
I really hope the local nine can totally embarrass Lance Link and his goons tonight
Nice.
So, I am about a month in on twice-daily doses of collagen peptides, plus an expanded set of exercises and stretches, and exclusively riding the recumbent bike instead of walking. And two PT visits.
My hip is feeling marginally better. Less-frequent misery, more frequently feeling "ok." Not sure how to attribute, since I have made multiple changes. I want believe the collagen peptides are making a difference, but 🤷♂️
I have been more aggressively working my core, added a resistance band on clamshells (and doing more sets), and really working hard in stretching my hip flexors and quads. The truth is probably that the exercises and stretches are doing most of the work.
