We have a few child school milestones going on simultaneously. Hope it all goes well!

Really, what could possibly go wrong?! 😂
I'm hearing the term "upskill" bandied about in a conf. call today. Blah
Hey! I know there are instapot-heads here. Any suggestions for the best pot on the market?
I don't know if it's still the best, but I've got the Duo, and am very happy with it. I think it's the 8 quart version. I also got the air fryer add-on later, when our kitchen was under construction for a few months, but wasn't too impressed with that. I don't think I've used it since our kitchen became usable again.
The actual air fryer they made was hot garbage. The button to turn it on stopped working within two weeks (I assume this has a lot to do with the company that gutted them). Bought a Ninja with two chambers and its phenomenal. Fortunately I still have my Duo 8 qt IP from when they were good.
I have the Instant Pot Duo 8qt as well. Haven’t used the air fryer lid much, but the regular use of pressure cooker unit itself has been pretty much as advertised - awesome. Actually did basic chicken breasts in it tonight. They are super convenient.
I’m still sorta partial to a slow cooker. We have both a Ninja ‘Cooking System’ - settings for standard slow cooker, stove top and “oven” with timers and temperature controls that are nicer than the old school Crockpot, but with an aluminum (or something) pan/pot and lid that seems to cook less evenly than the old school glazed porcelain pot.
I have both a 35-year old Crock-Pot and a more recent, 6-qt(? Looks like 14-cup max fill) Duo Insta.
I agree that the Crock seems better for slow cooking. Not sure why. But the Insta is great for everything from making yogurt and paneer, to hard-cooked eggs to beans, brown rice and stews.
I even made a batch of spaghetti with meat sauce in it once, and that was very good. (this recipe, maybe?)
Current heat index: 114°F
StL doin' Houston impression today
Just checked our weather, we're at a heat index of 117 here in sunny Omerha.
101 heat index in the 56062 (forecast of 110+ tomorrow and Wednesday)
We're at a measly 84 right now, but we're heading for a robust 110 by Wednesday, a day I am attending an outdoor concert.
welcome to the suck.
We're slated to have actual air temps of 101-103 the rest of the week. Heat index of 114 - Satan's Armpit. This has been happening here for 2.25 months. Yes, hot here in the summer. not. this. hot. People are beginning to lose their minds. Coolest summer going forward.
