I have one of those firm memory foam type pillows with a flat bottom and curved top. As such, it's not the type you can flip to get to the cool side of the pillow. Instead, I kind of start on one end and shift it over like a typewriter as needed.

Yesterday, a day after my first trip to the State Fair without seeing anyone wearing a Joe Mauer shirt in basically forever, Max Kepler passed Joe Mauer in most plate appearances for any player I've ever seen in person. Sad emoji.
Clearly you didn't support Joe enough in person
Need to spot Joe several times in restaurants.
You'll see Joe more times at HOF than Max
Beautiful day today. I might have to and make my way over to Target Field.
It's going to be rather cool tonight, I think I'll be swapping out the shorts for some long trousers. Maybe a long sleeve tee under my uni, but I don't believe it's jacket weather yet. There are a lot of wind tunnels at Target Field, though, and you have to be ready for anything if you want to stay comfortable (and I definitely do).
As described late last night in the game log. I mean, WTF?
That's some mighty fine improvisation there.
Not sure what they were going for there. Looks as stupid as you described.
Here's our update. Still need to add foam/some insulation, and caulk the outside, but otherwise we have egress windows:
Noice.
So last night there were gunshot wounds at a White Sox game in the third inning, and two women were hit by bullets. The police and security deemed it not "an active threat" even though they had/have no leads as to what happened. Game rolled on.
I was surprised to see the number of fans in the bleachers for an OAK-CHW game (picture midway down the page). Then I got to the bottom and saw there was supposed to be a Vanilla Ice/Tone Loc concert after the game, which was cancelled for "technical reasons." That's why.
Technical reasons? Technically Vanilla Ice didn’t want to get shot.
Good. Lord.
(I did not FZ this because I think most of what I wrote was the facts. Maybe I could have have FZ'd the last paragraph. And maybe responses may need to be FZ'd.)
You would only need to FZ any Vanilla Ice rap performances.
Word to your mother
Well, I know this. People don't just forget they are carrying and accidentally bring a gun into a ballpark, that's a deliberate act. It worries me that security apparently failed to prevent an unauthorized firearm from entering the facility, a shooting event is a nightmare scenario and one I would like to avoid forever. Also, most stadiums have dozens and dozens of security cameras, so they may know more about the incident than they are releasing because active investigation.
I go to the Cell a couple times a year, and every entrance has to go through metal detectors. Not sure how that would get through.
I wonder if the gun was discharged outside the stadium. Between it being difficult to get that much metal past a metal detector and no one seemingly having any beef in the stadium, or no one noticing a shooter in the crowd, the least confusing option to me is some dumbass shooting in the air and these people being incredibly unlucky.
That's been the recent theory here, like from a mile away. The neighborhood around the park isn't great, so it's not inconceivable.
FINALLY some rain and a slight break from the heat. Also, I use the same pillow (for neckaches) and have the same technique
Day 2 of no AC, repair guys promises to be over tomorrow morning. Luckily we made it through our week long stretch of 100+ degree days before it died. High will only be in low 80's today.
Yikes. Glad to hear it won't be so miserable today.
Most ballgames free on MLB today; not sure about the important one though
nope.
Rangers-Twins, Cubs-Pirates, or Cardinals-Phillies will be your Fox game.
i wonder if i can get it on .tv since that's not my in-network game, but i'm guessing not.
Cardinals? cr@p

I’ve been golfing (poorly) for about 30 years. Generally only get out maybe half dozen times per season, so no real surprise that I rarely break 100. Went out for nine this morning (with Niblet who has been playing the game for the past three years and would go every day if he could) and came within inches of my first ever ace. 190 yard par three and I hit the flagstick low off the bounce and the rebound & backspin left me less than a foot from the cup. It was awesome.
That is awesome! I am still searching for my first ace, and I golf a fair amount. A few near misses for me as well.
thats awesome!!
and you two-putted from there?
Ha! Would have been the typical, but even I couldn’t miss this putt.
Mitch apparently has a point to prove. I hope our lineup has a few counterpoints
