So who do we want to face on Tuesday? The team with the league best ERA or the great offense that also has Verlander
The Astros had to burn Verlander last night (94 pitches), so they'd have to rush him back.
He would be ready by Game 3 I think
Right. I just meant if they'd want him for Games 1 or 2. If we play the `Stros, we might not have to see him.
Oh, love the optimism!
The Twins split the season series with Toronto and won 4-2 against Houston. Both series were finished in the first half of the season. Verlander pitched yesterday so normal rest has him starting Game 3.
More importantly, will the recent Twins juggernaut be playing?
I would rather play Toronto. Maybe I still am scarred from when Framber Valdez completely shut down the Twins bats in a 5 inning relief stint. He has become a better pitcher since then. Then Verlander as a potential game 3
He wasn't eligible for the postseason roster anyway so he would have to be cut within the next few days regardless.
I'm not sure if I'm more afraid of Framber Valdez or Whit Merrifield.
Garver seems to have a pretty big chip on his shoulder, too.
This was weird.
There have been some glitches but the Toy Story game is really well done.
The NFL has a chip in each player's shoulder pads to track movement & then combines that with Hawkeye optical tracking (like tennis) to animate the game in real-time.
Happy 99th birthday to Jimmy Carter, the oldest living and greatest/most successful* former president. His life is a model of public service we sorely need.
* John Quincy Adams has a strong case here, too.
Have the Vikes game on in the background. I walked away after Jefferson scored a touchdown, and walked past a few minutes later at it was somehow 0-7 Panthers. Apparently I missed an offensive holding and a goal line pick 6. Might spend more time outside today.
He says "all three" but the Twins are going to take it in two
Of course. Twins only get primetime slots against the Yankees
Saw the final game of the season live. Yeah, not a great way to end, but it was a beautiful day at coors field.
Welcome to the 2023 MLB Postseason Bracket Challenge by ReCreate, the Official CBD of MLB!
Seriously?
I didn't know I could get sponsors for our bracket challenge.
Minnesota does have a lot of new "businesses" popping up, right?
I saw an advert for the "official CBD" of MLB yesterday and was like "whaaaa?"
I've been doing 1000 mg sublingual doses every other day for the past month or so and I'm feeling a lot less pain in my arthritic knee and my daily blood pressure readings are a few points lower and a lot more consistent. I would also add that I have noticed another potential benefit of CBD related to its vasodilatory effect besides moderating hypertension, but that conversation is NSFW.
not safe for wife?
Oh wow. RIP Wakefield
Why did it have to be Tim when Andrew was available?
On the day Tim Wakefield passed away, George Kirby broke out a knuckleball. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/RWcbtC8bDl

Toronto it is.
Looks like López couldn't hang on with the O's either. Hope he figures it out.

Gonna be a late afternoon series.
All on the 4ltr for now.

Gotcha. Thanks for the assist.
No problem. And no thank you on that plot twist.
