  1. With the foster pup there is no sleeping in, her timekeeping is more accurate than Bulova and she wants her breakfast on schedule, dammit. Otherwise, though, I think we made a little bit of a breakthrough this week. We don't know her history, but there are some clues based on her behavior. She's very possessive, very competitive for food and personal space, and fairly aggressive. She was a bundle of anxiety when we got her three weeks ago, whiny and nippy and she would cower instantly if you approached her too fast or spoke too harshly to her. I don't think she was abused, necessarily, but my guess is she came from an overcrowded environment where she had to compete for everything and didn't get a lot of human interaction. So we've been working on that. Three days ago was really something, though. She got up in the morning and was just a little angel all day, and her behavior since then has been so good. Yesterday she came in from outside after breakfast and jumped up on the couch and curled up next to me and nosed my hand to let me know she was wanting some love, she'd never done anything like that before. Today I'll fill out her paperwork and send in some pictures so the rescue can list her on the website and start finding her a new home. She's going to be a really good dog for somebody once she's recovered from whatever it was that made her so stressed and hyper-defensive.

  2. St. Cloud State managed to move up two spots in the NCAA men's college hockey rankings last week even though they didn't play any games last weekend. Sometimes serendipity is your best friend. This weekend the Huskies notched a win and a tie on the road versus the Omaha Mavericks. The Gophers likewise recorded a win and a tie against Ohio State in Columbus. The big surprise of the weekend, though, came in Grand Forks where unranked Colorado College swept #1 University of North Dakota in two 3-2 overtime wins. #2 Boston College beat Providence Saturday, #3 Boston University was idle, and Denver split with Western Michigan, so it's likely BC will top the rankings come tomorrow with BU in the #2 slot and Denver moving up a spot to #3. Quinnipiac and Wisconsin will likely round out the top five in that order.

    1. I'm not sure what you're talking about. The two consecutive timeouts (one LAV, one MIN) followed by a delay of game was real playoff form. They are ready!

      🤣

  3. Watching the replay of Pacers/Lakers. And it just now struck me that Taurean Prince is no longer with the Wolves.
