I was in the back of a liquor store checking out their selection of Minnesota beers to bring some home with me. From the back, I heard what sounded like someone, a boss or something, really laying into an employee.
"What are you doing? How could you do something so stupid? What were you thinking!?"
I made my selection and approached the front with a little apprehension. Turns out it was just the lone worker watching the Gophers game.
I also have a habit of verbally venting frustration towards the television. Sports and news are frequent triggers. I’ve had to explain to Mrs. Twayn that it’s like the safety valve on a pressure cooker.
This is the way.
I’ve more or less made it personal policy not to expect anything from the Gophers. It hasn’t been particularly difficult to maintain that stance given their history on my lifetime.
How on earth do you win a football game with 26 total passing yards? I saw the stats and assumed that was a typo and they forgot a digit, but nope, that was correct.
What makes that stat even more astounding is that Kramer had two (obviously short) TD passes!
I say lean into it. With NIL money being what it is, pass-blocking linemen, quarterbacks, and receivers are all expensive. Make the other teams’ expensive pass rushers obsolete by not passing!
For that amount, I really like that signing.
Under $1 million, but:
There is a wide variability in outcomes with that surgery.
Time to tackle some required online training prior to the end-of-year deadline. Mind --> mush
It was a Relias day for me
For context, this was apparently right after the Gophers scored their first touchdown and inexplicably went for two and missed.
That's a lot of emotion over the Quick Lane Bowl
First snow today - big-@ss flakes and no accumulation, my favorite kind
Mrs Runner's 2nd favorite team is playing tonight, that being any team playing against USC
She also sporadically shouts at the action on the TV, startling any person or pet in the vicinity.
