I was wondering when that snow guy was going to show up this winter.

Estrellas defeated the Gigantes 6-3 yesterday. Miguel Sano was 2-for-4 with two doubles. Lewin Diaz was 1-for-2. Jurickson Profar was 2-for-3. Vidal Brujan was 2-for-5. Starter Andy Otero pitched four innings, giving up one run on three hits and two walks and striking out two. The win went to Henry Sosa, who pitched two shutout innings, walking two and striking out two. Ronel Blanco pitched a perfect ninth, striking out one, for the save.
Estrellas has a record of 8-1 in the round-robin playoff and leads Licey by three games.

Reusse has gotten a little tired for a while and unfortunately discovered that being a troll on Twitter is right in his wheelhouse, but he is still great when telling stories, especially about old ball guys.
It finally snowed here this weekend. Reports say 8" but a lot melted into a slush layer so it's more like 5".
Yeah, on my morning walk (ruckpack @ 19lbs) I was surprised how few of the roads had been plowed cleanly/walks shoveled...
Well, by Tuesday we're supposed to get 2.41" of rain - expecting flooding+mess.
Our sidewalk has a little fluff on it because I cleaned it off midday yesterday but it continued to lightly snow for several more hours. Thankfully the entire sidewalk gets plenty of sun and the sun is fixing my refusal to go out again with a shovel. I might check the drains tomorrow to ensure they're unblocked.
Sun?
We're looking at 8-10 inches down here tonight through tomorrow. The laptop is coming home with me today, for sure.
Ours is just wrapping up, we got about an inch of dry fluffy stuff. The leaf blower should be able to handle it.
I got a push shovel for this and it's great. I can clear out a three-foot wide swath with each push. With light snows, it's faster than using the snowblower.
Leaf blower? Huh, I've gotta try that sometime.
Mind you don't suck up snow into the blower motor. You'll know it if you do.
wouldn't that just make it a... snowblower?
Not sure. I can drive my car on snow but it's not a snowmobile.
Well, I can add Get Smart to the growing list of movies where a locomotive hits a vehicle and keeps right on going. What, neither the engineer or the conductor notices the flaming SUV on the tracks ahead, or the resulting explosion? Didn't even slow down, let alone go into emergency braking. Well, at least it wasn't a helicopter (I'm looking at you, Blue Thunder).
My passengers never like it when I shout “Ramming speed!” when a car enters my lane on a poorly timed turn (that I already anticipated and am actively mitigating).
Funny, I shout "Ramming speed!" every time I enter a highway onramp.
I tell my wife "Punch it, Chewie" when we're merging

He has a good article on Bill Gardner in the strib today.

You can shake your fist harder in the new movie post!
