After a day off, Estrellas got back on the winning track yesterday, defeating Escogido 3-0. Lewin Diaz was 0-for-4. Vidal Brujan was 2-for-3. Robinson Cano was 2-for-4. Jorge Martinez pitched four shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk. Henry Sosa got the win, striking out three in two shutout innings while giving up two hits. Ronel Blanco walked two but pitched a scoreless ninth to get the save. Estrellas has a 9-4 record and leads Licey by a game with five games to play.
I just found out that the fundraiser auction for the senior party has a pair of signed Naz Reid shoes.
I will be spending the weekend rearranging the furniture to best feature the pedestal that will display the shoes.
Awesome. That means they might have originally been owned by SloMo.
Our friend from NYC is here for the weekend. She recently retired from Citi, where she was a mucky-muck. When we visited her in NYC, we went out for a couple of fancy meals.
Last night we took her to the local hot dog stand. 😀
(Seriously. She and I had Sonoran dogs, plus the Mrs got quesabirria and we all got elote-in-a-cup. Fantastic.)
