I like that I have a job where at 2pm I can say, you know what? I'm not feeling it, and then go home.
(This was on Monday and might have had something to do with the Super Bowl party I attended the night before.)

R. I. P. Brant Alyea, at the age of 83. He had a couple of awesome months for the Twins in 1970.
I can relate to that. I remember the first week I started at my current job, it was mid-March, and on Thursday, one of my colleagues sent a note that he was leaving for the day to go watch some NCAA basketball games. And my thought was "we can DO that?!" I've appreciated that freedom very much over the years I've worked here (now closing in on 17 years)
I went from years of service industry straight to this office job. I remember calling every name on the list begging people to take a shift. This is a much better arrangement.
