Ugly win for the Wolves last night over Brooklyn. Naz and NAW, particularly, couldn't throw it in the ocean. But a win is a win.
Montae Morris seems to be settling in. So there's a positive.
Still a good defensive game for not having Rudy. Lowest score allowed this season (I mean, the Nets helped with that, of course).
Also hilarious that the Nets took exception to Conley supposedly running up the score at the end (which, whatever), but in reality, he was just trying to get the fans some free Arby's.
Yea, Dennis Schroeder.... Not my first choice for peacekeeper.
more from the things ain’t the way they used to be file.
Heading back to mainland tomorrow. Managed to hang with the big 'scopes on both Haleakala (Maui) and Mauna Kea (Big Island), so two of Earth's three largest mountains. The weather on Mauna Kea wasn't all that chilly, but the cirrus clouds moved in and put a damper on most of the viewing.
We stopped by the southernmost point in the US today as well as Kilauea, although a light mist started falling while there so the steaming crater visibility was dampened.
Probably too late to mention, but Sig Zane’s shop in Hilo is awesome. The quality of their garments can not be beat.
Oooh, those are very sharp.
My friend from the Big Island (who introduced me to loco moco in grad school) got married on Oahu the same year the Poissonnière was born. Rather than pack a full outfit for the wedding, I flew out with some linen pants and hit a vintage shop for a quality aloha shirt, where I discovered I’m a pullover-style fella and that once you aloha your formalwear, you never want to wear a suit & tie again.
I did pick up a shirt in Kona, but otherwise I lean on my bro in Phoenix for warm wear stylings
Oh, when I was in the shop there was a dude looking for a shirt to wear to a funeral. I was both envious and sad for my fellow customer and then sad for the rest of us who are bound by society's rules on what constitutes dressed up. I now own several Sig Zane shirts mostly purchased on eBay from folks who bought on the island and then discovered the island didn't translate to Peoria well.
One of our (recently retired) database administrators realized a while back that Hawaiian shirts met the business casual criteria (collared, no logo, etc) and wore them every day to work.
The right right jersey meets these and even has buttons
