March 11, 2024: Portable Power

One recent, minor purchase I'm quite pleased with is the battery organizing case I bought. Every time I go to grab a battery, I think, man, I'm so glad I bought this thing. I mentioned that to the wife the other day and she look at me solemnly and said, no, I totally get it, I love that thing.

  1. I got a battery daddy in a gift exchange a few years ago. Didn't realize how nice it would be. We love it.

This year the same person brought the same gift to the exchange and literally everyone but 1 person already had it - we universally agreed how wonderful they were. The bringer was bummed because now he has to think of new gifts, but everyone was in agreement - we all use it, regularly.

      1. I wish this convo had come up a few months ago when my Costco had it. I had considered buying, then Minnesota'd the thought (nah! Too extravagant.)

    1. Cousins’ deal is worth $180 million over four years, including $100 million guaranteed, according to a league source. He gets a $50 million signing bonus, $45 million per year in 2024 and ’25, plus another $10 million in 2026.

      That's a lot of money.

      1. If he sees all the $180m, he will have made over $410 million in the NFL. Just counting the guarantee puts him at $330m. The man does know how to negotiate an NFL contract.

    2. Catching up on today's events and it sounds like Kwesi is having quite a day. Pretty down with the new signings so far and the most important one is still the one he didn't make.

  2. That Drake men's game yesterday was a little tighter at the end than I would have liked, but they won!

    And now for the ladies

    1. It's been pleasantly surprising how the baseball media has stopped kowtowing to ownership. Even the big names spent the entire lockout chastising them.
